What is Our Final Halloween?
Our Final Halloween is a thirty-five-page horror mystery one-shot with nods to the likes of HP Lovecraft and John Carpenter.
Covered in blood, disorientated, and with no short-term memory, these five kids will need to work together to solve the mysteries of this hellish house, or this will be their final Halloween.
Our five survivors will have to work together to decipher the mysteries of the house and the role they play within it.
It soon becomes clear that everything isn’t what it seems and they’re involved in something bigger and darker than they feared. But despite this they still seem somewhat prepared, which only adds to the tension...
Written and co-created by Mike Garley (Samurai Slasher, The Kill Screen, Adventure Time), and artist Michael Lee-Graham (Shortlist Magazine, Hero Complex Gallery, Dead Roots).
With letters and logo design by Mike Stock (Image Comics, Starburst Magazine, beActive media)

The Original Soundtrack

You can hear an example of John Carpenter-inspired the soundtrack in the Kickstarter video.
We wanted to concentrate on creating an ‘event’ comic that people could read and enjoy on Halloween itself. We love print but making the comic available for print would delay the book and stagger when people received it. We decided to put all our effort into making the best comic we could that everyone could enjoy together, to capture the spirit of the holiday.
We’re not asking for a lot - to be honest, it will probably only cover the additional artists, letter and logo designer, composer, Kickstarter fees, our modest fund for pumpkins, and the payment fees, but we ARE asking for a LOT of backers. We want to get our comic in front of as many people as possible so we’ve planned our campaign with that in mind. Out pledge goals are low cost and offer great value for money, and because we’re digital only we’ve avoided high-end pledge goals, and time consuming add-ons!
Risks and challenges
The artwork is done, and the last few pages are currently being coloured. We have October to focus on polishing the book so it's perfect for the 31st. We already have all additional artwork and the essay in. We're just focusing on getting the book funded and in to your hands!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
