Thanks for checking out re-design / re-launch of the Ti2 Design Para-Biner.
Just like the original, the Para-Biner V2 is an EDC (Every Day Carry), Multi-Tool Carabiner that can be used with Paracord to help daily tasks get done easier.
Paracord + Carabiner = Para-Biner
Our original Para-Biner launched and delivered to our backers in time for Christmas 2013. Unfortunately, it was massively copied by manufacturers in China by the end of 2014. So much so, that we discontinued manufacturing the product in 2015 due to massive market flooding by the overseas clones. We spent many months fighting the listings on Amazon and EBAY but to no avail. We provided proof that the photos being used were directly off of our original Kickstarter campaign, but every time a knockoff listing was taken down another two would flood the market. Were we pissed off??....YES, we loved the Para-Biner and it's extremely hard to watch your idea, hard work and designs stolen.
We decided to rise above the knockoffs with a re-design, added more functionality, offer alternative material options and PATENT this new design, the Para-Biner V2!

Ti2 Para-Biner V2 Features
Ti2 Para-Biner Para-System
The Ti2 Para-Biner was created for today's "Paracord Generation" (myself included). Paracord is readily available and great for just about everything.
The Para-system includes:
PB-6 Para-Pulley System
The Para-Biner PB-6 offers an integrated carabiner twin pulley system specifically designed to be used with paracord. Use a single Para-Pulley for directional change and greatly reduce friction. Or, use 2+ Ti2 Para-Biners and create a "double tackle" scenario for a 4 to 1 mechanical advantage.
The PB-6 Para-Pulley is made from Titanium (pin is Alloy 440C hardened stainless steel) This Version 2.0 model uses a single protected clip to prevent accidental clip removal.
Para - Cleat / Para - Cinch / Bottle Opener (PB-4 & PB-6)
Use the Para-Biner as a simple paracord knotless gear tie with the Para-Cleat. Simply, feed para-cord through the 7/16 hex hole and one loop around the cleat and you're tied.
Use the cinch to temporarily tie off or hold para-cord in tension. Also, use as a bottle opener to pop the top of your favorite beverage.
Bit Driver (PB-4 & PB-6)
Drives 1/4" hex bits
Pry Bar (PB-4 & PB-6)
Use to drive flat head screws, pry a staple out, scrape or sever the tape on your latest inbound shipment.
Grade 5 Titanium Para-Biners
We've selected Grade 5 Alloy (AKA 6Al4V) because of its incredible strength characteristics. Grade 5 has double the strength of steel with a UTS (ultimate tensile strength) of 138,000psi and at half the weight. Once the machining process is finished, the part is tumbled in a proprietary stonewash leaving a uniform matte grey finish. Gates are grade 5 Titanium and come tumbled or anodized in your choice of Blue or Gold.

FallOut Titanium Para-Biners
FallOut Titanium HALO, both frame and gate are made from grade 5 titanium that is media blasted, tumbled and twice anodized blue/bronze.
Bronze Alloy 614 Para-Biners
Termed "high strength" Bronze alloy 614 touts an 82,500psi UTS and offers good corrosion resistance. Gates are grade 5 Titanium and anodized to match.
Coolest Metal Ever? Its rare and expensive and not for everyone, but the finish is unlike anything. When heat treated, a dark grey / black oxide layer forms at the surface that is very hard. These offer excellent wear resistance. Gates are grade 5 Titanium and come tumbled or anodized in your choice of Blue or Gold.

A unique design water jetted from sheet stock offering an ambidextrous ergonomic thumb catch built for abuse.
Para-Biner Inch Versions

The Para-Biner PB-4 -- Standard Hex Wrench Openings include: 9/16", 7/16", 5/16", 1/4" (bit driver)
The Ti2 Para-Biner PB-6 -- Standard Hex Wrench Openings include: 9/16", 1/2", 7/16", 3/8", 5/16", 1/4" (bit driver)
Why these sizes? Here at our shop we use standard hex head fasteners everyday. We analyzed the most commonly used sizes and incorporated them into the design.
9/16" (PB-6 and PB-4) -- Standard hex for 3/8" bolt also standard for 1/4NPT pipe fittings.
1/2" (PB-6) -- Standard hex for 5/16" bolt
7/16" (PB-6 and PB-4) -- Standard hex for 1/4" bolt (extra common) also standard for 1/8NPT pipe fittings.
3/8" (PB-6) Fits some 1/4" bolt
5/16 (PB-5 and PB-4) -- Standard hex for #12 and #10 bolt. Also common radiator hose clamp hex size.
1/4" (PB-6 and PB-4) -- Standard hex for #8 and #6 bolt 1/4" is suitable for hex bit driving.

The shape is water-jetted using a high quality setting out of 5/16" (PB-6) or 1/4" (PB-4) thick sheets. Then it is CNC drilled, milled, and chamfered.

Risks and challenges
I have a background in manufacturing, machining and experience running production jobs. Having done the actual work of manufacturing, I know the kinds of problems that arise in the shop and how to deal with them quickly and efficiently.
If this project funds and in order to fulfill we will need to:
1. Source Material -- Titanium sourcing may be one of our biggest hurdles because of the large Titanium consumption by the airline industry. Fortunately we have secured 3 vendors to meet demand. We've experienced great communication with these vendors.
2. Machine the parts -- Lowest risk of the process, the machine shop we use has lots of capable machines and I run them myself personally. By doing so, we can insure high quality and the parts are finished in a timely manner. Having access to multiple machines helps because to reduce the machine time, speeding up fulfillment.
3. Finishing -- We have multiple finishing tumblers that can accommodate the ceramic tumbling needed
4. Fulfillment -- We do our fulfillment in house to offer direct communication with our backers. Our experience on our last projects have helped us develop fulfillment systems we can depend on.
