We are Mike, Mike, and Zach the founders of Mike & Martin Eyewear. We are going to revolutionize the way you buy glasses, by offering a high quality prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses CLUB. We have spent the last 24 months designing our very own frames, made from the best materials available. Every time you get a pair of Mike & Martin's they are yours to keep! We want our backers to be able to feel and see the quality and help spread the word! After our campaign ends, all the backers will get a chance to vote for their favorite style so you can help decide what designs we will launch! After you "SEE THE DIFFERENCE" in our eyewear you can sign up for a subscription to our club. Mike & Martin eyeglass club will start at $34.99 a month and that will get you two pair a year for less than what one pair would cost you at your local optical shop! Does someone else in your family wear glasses? You can share your club plan with anyone you choose!
Why does the industry need to be changed?
With over 60 years of experience, we are tired of BIG CORPORATIONS that monopolize the industry and take advantage of you, the consumer. They own the designer brands, majority of retail optical shops, and the vision insurance companies that are only accepted at their stores. They have been able to “mark up” eyeglasses and sunglasses with almost "no limits" while frame quality has suffered.

Fulfillment Timeline
With any Kickstarter, there is the risk that the creators of a campaign won’t be able to actually deliver their product. However, we have over 60 years in the retail Optical business and already have a fully functional state-of-art Optical lens lab. Also, we already have prototypes of the frames. Our website is still in the building phase, but we have a team of experienced web designers and developers working on it and will be fully functional for you to choose your frame style and color. Our frame manufacturer has been in business for over 26 years and is very capable of keeping up with the demand. Näheres zur Rechenschaftspflicht auf KickstarterWe already have dozens of frames designed and we have several prototypes from the factory for quality testing and you can see them in the video. However, to get all of them produced means ordering large quantities of frames in each style and multiple colors. That’s where Kickstarter comes in. Obviously we don’t want to be sitting on thousands of frames without proving our business plan. We came up with this “club / subscription idea” simply because we’ve heard our customers for years say "I wish I could have 3 or 4 pair but just can’t afford them”. We are trying to see how good our idea is and at the same time offering Kickstarters an opportunity to get high quality eyeglasses and/or sunglasses at an awesome price and “test drive them”. We wish we had samples in every color and style, but we just don’t at this point. We feel certain we will have some styles you will like. We would love to get any feedback we can get. That’s why we will have Kickstarters vote on the styles they want, so the community has a direct input into the selection of the frames we produce.
