Hey Mighties!

We have a very important announcement today!

Comcept and our partners at Inti Creates and Deep Silver have been hard at work clearing up any remaining issues with the online modes included in Mighty No. 9. As a result of their progress, we are now able to officially announce our release date!

Mighty No. 9 will release in North America on February 9th, 2016 and will release for the rest of the world on February 12th, 2016.

We are looking forward to delivering this game to our fans, especially all of our backers!

Thanks again for all of your support and patience! (`_´)ゞ

Can't wait for this! The HATE IS STRONG with thormawk!!! LOL!!

    3. starflame on September 30, 2015

Even the "Mission Clear" text looks like a horrible photoshop.

I hope kotaku picks up on how shit it looks.

    4. starflame on September 30, 2015

I am genuinely surprised at how shit the game looks.
It legitimately looks like a mobile game made in unreal or unity.

How the hell is it possible to botch a game in unreal like this? The demo lacks so much, so much polish and beck looks like some kind of weird balloon animal with his shit arms and ... there's no connection or passion you get from him.

He looks like a placeholder skin that runs in slow motion with horrible motion blur.

    5. starflame on September 30, 2015

The game looks really uninspired. Beck looks nothing ingame like he does on the cover art. Who the hell created the model of him?

I hope this release date is final. Despite all the setbacks and letdowns, I'm still excited to play this. Also, I'm wishing that I would've chosen a medium shirt, since I'm recently able to fit that size again. Not biggie though.

    7. Rafał Lach on September 29, 2015

@R.Walsh: All you need to do is use the e-mail address that is attached to your Kickstarter or Paypal pledge to login to the Humble Bundle website and the download link for the Special Demo Version will be available!
I can confirm, that I can see Demo in my humble bundle account. I don't know if it works, since I don't want to play the game until full version is released.

    8. R. Walsh on September 29, 2015

So, do backers not get the demo or am I mistaken and mine is just coming late? I haven't seen any message in my inbox in regards to a demo which is making me feel a bit jipped.

    9. Melvin Co on September 28, 2015

Just received a notification fro fangamer.
the only mentioned item to be shipped is the shirt.
no presence of the game box?

      Hi comcept,

I didn't get to reply the platform selection survey earlier this summer. Will I still be eligible to receive a copy of the game? Please send us an update, as I'm sure there are more than a few of us.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi comcept,

I didn't get to reply the platform selection survey earlier. Will there be another round of survey for that?

      Please update.
      Thanks.

This is great news! I hope you guys had as much fun making it as I did playing the demo. I was curious though, I never received e-mails for the rewards and I wouldn't want to just lose out on those. Especially when I put so much in. If you could e-mail me and let me know if there is still more to come on that subject, please do.

    14. madGamer on September 28, 2015

I tried the demo. not the best graphic but excelent gameplay :)

    15. David Anderson Bell III on September 27, 2015

Cool demo. My Windows PC isn't that great, but I get the idea! Feels kind of like Gunvolt, iirc. Looking forward to playing the full version!

For those wondering why there's a staggered release date (NA three days before the rest of the world), here's a pretty good explanation for why:

Why do you discriminate the rest of the world? Especially your backers?

In the day and age of the digital distribution it is pointless and even harmful.

I haven't followed all the complaints and problems surrounding this project. That said, I'm grateful you put out a demo. As far as the final release date goes, I understand that these get pushed back due to situations beyond your control, situations that you let get out of control, and changes in plans and direction. More important to me than the release date is that the product is as bug free as possible. As much as I want the final product, I don't want it rushed out with show-stopper bugs (or a plethora of near show-stopper bugs which would be the same difference). Thank you and good luck with the work ahead.

    23. Samladdy on September 26, 2015

Well I am really happy to hear the demo was released yesterday and that the game is due out in February so thank you for keeping us updated and best of luck with the rest of the development until February 2016.

Still a bit cheeses off after last week though if I am going to be honest but that is bound to happen, I may question the development process of this game but as long as the game is released and it is good I will be happy so here's hoping for the best.

    24. Jesus Antonio Rivera Muñoz on September 26, 2015

i just came here to read the complaints xD

cant wait to play the game guys :D

'released February 9th, 2016' does this to mean stores like Gamestop, GameStar, Walmart, etc will have the game on February 9th, and we backers are still waiting for FedEx/UPS/USPS/Whoever you use or does this mean that we backers will get the game around February 9th, for an in store release by Deep Silver?

I mean seriously... y'all are screwing backers left and right with all these delays, etc. and half the game demos hardly make up for it.... But mark my words, the release better not be one of those 'Hey we have backers that are waitiing for rewards but we're profiting from a store release' kinda situations.... FINISH KICKSTARTER RELEASE BEFORE STORE RELEASE...

      Let's rant shall we?
Why is there a delay in between the releases for usa and the rest of the world, I understand for those who got the physical copy, but digital too? Why?
If the bug was only in the online features of the game, why did the demo only include four levels?
Were the online features so deeply coupled with the rest of the code that removing from the game for a first launch impossible?
Why do we seem to always be the last ones to get the news on these announcements?
Did you people lie to the Capcom executives like this too, or is it that we are to you "clients" that you don't need to keep us informed?
Transparency is one of the things that makes your projects sustainable on kickstarter, no wonder Red ash was ready to fail when FUZE had to make itself shown, by that time you had already tainted the belief of the people. Not only that, but a few weeks later this project get's delayed just as you heve announced that you started working on another one.
You guys seem to forget we aren't just customers here, we are also stockholders in a fashion.
It's alright to have delays, to have problems during development, but tell us upfront and we know why it happened, and we can at least say "those guys are being sincere when they talk to us", instead, by breaking our trust, by telling us at the very last second, everyone is now wondering when the next delay will be announced.

    32. Alenonimo on September 25, 2015

Why two different release dates? Is my non-american money not worth enough?

I really really really really really really really really really really REALLY really really hate when companies do that. It's the kind of stuff that makes me not preorder a game.

Where can I get my refund?

    33. Windy Gaming on September 25, 2015

all i know is the version that i really wanted was available from amazon fro pre-order. i just sort of wasted my money on this train wreck. i haven't backed much since this debacle.

    34. Nicholas Russell on September 25, 2015

Cool, can't wait to play this game on August 30th, 2018!

    35. mrfatso ~ Defender of The Goat on September 25, 2015

I cant wait for the release date to be pushed off again.

    36. Young_Gangrel on September 25, 2015

Whilst I am excited to receive the game there should be no reason that A) the digital releases are staggered by three days when we have digital mediums as powerful as we do globally. B) Half of us if not more are waiting on the platform survey to go out.

    37. James D White on September 25, 2015

Kotaku is saying 3DS and Vita versions are coming at a later date. What the biz? I only have a 3DS...

Believe it when I'm playing the full game.

Jesus christ, stop complaining. It's software development, delays are bound to happen. Now let's download the demo and find everything wring with that.

    42. Bobert Piss on September 25, 2015

Unbelievable. We collectively gave you millions of dollars under the assumption that this was a legitimate business. Just because you can offer some sort of consolation prize doesn't mean it's okay for you to keep screwing up. This game has been push back well over a year past it's initially stated release, but they have a show planned? They have another game in the works? This is why Kickstarter is ridiculous. If extra features were going to cause delays, they should have been upfront about it from the beginning instead of announcing it just before their scheduled release date(s). I'd almost rather have my money back and just buy the game when it eventually comes out.
