Morag is an adaptable sell-sword able to fight for any kindred with axe, harpoon or invocation! You can see her profile in the Sell-Swords Muster, here:
Sáthach is a sell-sword of the Érainn and, in Darklands, can train up your warriors to give them a greater Acuity than they would normally have, so she's a fantastic addition to any host.
Both of these girls will come in a numbered blister pack - and be warned: purchasing this reward is the only way you'll ever get your hands on Morag and Sáthach in this form. They'll never be available anywhere else, ever ever ever!
Templar's Forge is Mierce Miniatures' hobby range and it produces a superb range of hobby products, including bases, dice, tokens, templates, markers and much more. This range is mostly intended for use with Darklands but it can be used for other wargames, and this project introduces some fantastic Mierce Miniatures merchandise too - what we call miercendise!
As well as the miercendise, you can purchase all of these stretch goals individually... as long as we reach the target, of course! Let's start with some Darklands accessories, and some new Spray Template Sets!
Here's a lovely Movement Distance Gauge to complement the existing Attack Range Distance Gauge:
Whilst only one image is shown, you do get three templates in each spray template set - a 4", 6" and 8" spray template. Next up, some much-needed Crush Templates, starting with the Stone and Tree Stump sets!
There's three crush templates in each of the Fire Gobbet and Carcass Crush Template Sets...
...and there's five in the Dead Warrior Crush Template Set, as you can see below. Now you can Grab your enemies and throw them back at themselves!
There's some fantastic invocations in Darklands and some of them even use Area Effect Templates, which range from 4" to 6" in diameter or, in the case of Wall of Fire, an elliptic 8"!
Let's bring you something different. Made from mousepad material, here's the Snow Cover Terrain Mat Set, brought to you in association with Deepcut Studios!
With the addition of some new realms within the Darklands musters, here's the Order Token Sets to reflect them! New artwork has already been commissioned for the realm icons and they are sure to look spectacular.
Let's have some more terrain mats, this time the Fenland Terrain Mat Set containing some lovely marshland and bogs!
Here's some more Crush Templates for the Érainn (the Rocks) and any warrior able to Grab an object (the Logs)!
More terrain is coming your way with the Scrubland Terrain Mat Set!
Here's the Grassland Terrain Mat Set...
With this probably being our last Kickstarter project until 2019, let's reserve Allan Carrasco for the Bog Beasts for Darklands!
Now these are going to be very special because everybody has asked for Kindred D10 Dice from the very beginning. Costs have always been prohibitive to get them done - simply because our old projects were all about miniatures - but as we're here, doing accessories for Darklands, let's give you some Kindred Dice! Each comes in their kindred colours and whilst you won't get a reverse colour (again, costs!) you'll still be able to use your Mierce Wolf D10 dice for that D100 tens or units!
There'll be lots more stretch goals over the next few days!
Darklands is a tabletop skirmish wargame in which YOU command the hosts of man and beast that your ancestors once did for glory, power or simple survival.
You can play Darklands with all of our amazing miniatures, including our incredible monsters and anything produced by this project, in a wargame designed specifically for them in a setting that you already know a lot about... for the lands of darkness, the "dark lands" as we call them, are in fact the north and west of Europe and of course the sunken lands still remembered, yet no longer seen, from ancient times.
These Darklands accessories are specially designed by the Templar's Forge to complement the game itself and represent those items already produced. In short, you can already purchase these from our webstore, but if you like, you can add them to your pledge here, especially as there's a little bit off for doing so.
To play Darklands you'll definitely need some D10 dice and order tokens; so if you're new to Darklands and our projects, make sure you grab the Mierce Dice Set and Darklands Order Tokens Set (tailored to your hosts' kindred).
If you've already got loads of dice and tokens from previous projects, there's no need to purchase the above of course.
Here's something to ensure lines of sight are seen easily - the Darklands Positioning Laser! This is a Class 1 laser so extremely safe to use.
A positioning laser immediately ends a line of sight argument!
The Exult and Dismay Tokens and Continuous Effect Tokens are relatively new, so you'll definitely want some of these if you haven't seen them before!
They ensure every players knows the status of your units on the battlefield.
When attached to a unit, these tokens signify that a unit is subject to some kind of continuous effect, which can prove deadly!
Again very new (so new they're not yet produced - although they definitely will be once this project is over), the Object Tokens and Mobility Tokens respectively show the objects a unit is keeping (simply place them next to a unit) and a unit's mobility.
Here's the new Command Tokens!
Here's some more templates for various warriors, and you may want some scenery as well.
There may well be more accessories as the project continues!
Once the project has come to an end - and assuming we meet our initial goal - you must of course fulfil your pledge. This is done in a few easy steps, outlined below:
- 1: Complete the Survey - once the project ends, we send you a survey via Kickstarter
- 2: Access the Mierce Miniatures website - we then give you store credit called Moneyback on our webstore equal to your pledge
- 3: Manage your pledge! - then you log in and purchase the items you want, using that Moneyback!
That is a simplistic view of what happens, but that's pretty much it.
If you need further details now about how you manage your pledge, have a look at the pledge management from our latest previous Darklands project, Darklands: Starter Hosts II, with the links below.
As always, if you have any questions, please ask!
Firstly, it must be noted that you MUST NOT pay for shipping with your pledge. Doing so creates artificial stretch goals and reduces the amount of money we can spend on stuff.
Shipping must be paid for in the project management phase (from the Mierce Miniatures website after the project ends) in the form of shipment items, at least one of which you MUST purchase. This ensures that shipping fees are charged correctly for everyone.
It's worth re-iterating this in bold letters: DO NOT ADD SHIPPING COSTS TO YOUR PLEDGE - PURCHASE SHIPMENT ITEMS FROM THE MIERCE MINIATURES WEBSTORE AFTER THE PROJECT ENDS!
Post-project shipping costs are simple. Each Shipment Item - including the mandatory shipment item - will cost you:
- UK - £4.00
- EUR - £10.00
- ROW - £10.00
Note, here, that NO shipping is free for any shipment wave.
Risks and challenges
With eighteen highly successful Kickstarter projects concluded, eight of which having fulfilled 100% of its rewards (Darklands: a World of War, Darklands: First Edition, Darklands: First Edition II, Darklands: Monstrous Mounts, Darklands: New Kindreds, Darklands: Metal Age, BaneBeasts: Mighty Monsters and BaneBeasts: Mighty Monsters Part Deux), one more 95% through (Darklands: Savage Hordes I) and the rest in varying degrees of progress, we believe this project has virtually no risks attached to it. Just ask the backers from our previous projects, many of whom believe they were the finest Kickstarter projects they had ever been involved in!
Keeping Everybody Updated
We keep everybody in the loop with frequent project updates for each of our projects, and we usually answer any e-mails or messages within 24 hours.
We Have Lots of Experience!
The team behind Mierce Miniatures have been creating and manufacturing miniatures for a number of years now and have produced tens of thousands of resin miniatures - some of which are incredibly complicated to make - over that time. Long experience in the wargaming industry coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the logistics required to bring miniatures to market ensure that we will be able to deliver on every single pledge exactly on time - if not earlier!
All that being said, sometimes those gremlins work as hard as we do too, but if there are unavoidable delays anybody who pledges will be the first to know about them via an update to the project. Many of the miniatures you can pledge for are already being manufactured but for those that aren't, it must be noted that the artists and sculptors we work with are genuine professionals and work very hard to meet their deadlines.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
