About Michelle Hébert
Michelle Hébert is a luxury evening wear brand that intertwines art with fashion to create captivating ethereal designs. The brand's designs are appreciated widely for their aesthetic appeal and the designer herself for her passion within her craft. On the surface designs by Michelle Hebert are seen as elegant, flattering, and romantic, but when people delve deeper they notice finer details in the creation of each piece. Each piece is the product of meticulous attention to quality, imaginative concepts, and in simpler terms: a different kind of beauty.

How do I put this lightly...This is my PASSION, I have loved the arts since I could hold a crayon to paper and have dreamed of being a fashion designer since the age of 10.
I am now 22 years old, but I have accomplished only part of that dream, having slowly established myself as an artist and designer, but it's only the beginning and I am ready to push forward.
Part of that dream is producing my first collection professionally and focusing on making artistic pieces. Until now I have been running a one-person-show, which was fine for awhile... but now it’s time to take it to the next level and I cannot do it alone.
Where Will My Money Go?
This is a BIG dream, and it's bigger than my wallet. I need every cent to create a line of designs produced in Los Angeles, California USA.
I would professionally produce multiple units of at minimum 5 styles (3 ready-to-wear pieces and 2 evening wear designs). The existing patterns would be taken to a production facility with skilled workers who would make adjustments, computerize the patterns, develop multiple sizes, and eventually produce the pieces in a small batch of units for showroom and retail sale. I would also have enough money to purchase materials to produce THREE NEW ARTISTIC DESIGNS.
Although this will not propel my line into full production, this step is vital in reaching that even larger goal. With items ready to be manufactured I can run off more as demand increases. Right now I only have my patterns in one size, and I have only one full-time sewer (me).
AND with having my pieces in production, this would free up more of my time, which can then be spent creating artistic pieces similar to my twig dress, feather gown, paper-mache dress, and my 'fire' inspired series of pieces!
Here is a Further Breakdown of Where the Money Will Go
($'s represent where majority of money will be used):
1) Pattern Making, Sizing, & Tech Packs - $$$
2) Samples - $$
3) Sewing and Production - $$$
4) Clothing Labels, Hang-tags - $
5) Packaging & Shipment - $
6) Materials/resources for THREE New Art Designs - $$$
7) IN THE EVENT OF THE GOAL BEING SURPASSED... Extra money would be funneled into producing more styles, more designs, renting a studio space, & funding for MORE artistic pieces!!
**I would base one of the Art Designs on an OPEN SOCIAL MEDIA VOTE at the halfway mark of the goal!**
Who can decide? YOU can decide! :)
Why Invest in Michelle Hébert?
I am bringing something new to the world.
I design as an exploration of beauty, making attempts to create it through unexpected ways.
This is most prevalent in my artistic creations, but every design I create is a reflection of what I find visually appealing, uncommon, and intriguing.
However, I also design with the wearer in mind and aim to make pieces that leave an impression, and become a part of each person's life in a memorable way.
Each and every time that one of my designs is a part of someone's day, it is a huge honor-- my goal is to make those moments unforgettable. I am always reminded of the impact I can make with my work when my clients, family, friends, and supporters express excitement and happiness.
What Will YOU Get?
Asides from the amazing rewards you would receive, if this Kickstarter succeeds my designs will be able to be distributed in actual locations as well as online in multiple sizes (next will be multiple colors). Right now all I can manage is one dress at a time.
If this Kickstarter succeeds and SURPASSES the goal, I will have the ability to produce more designs, & create MORE artistic pieces!
This Kickstarter is the step I need for wider distribution of my designs so that within the next few years my pieces will be more accessible and purchasable!
And with my pieces produced opposed to sewn one-by-one by yours truly, I can design more and develop the creative pieces I really want to make!
With all that said, I hope you will help me by making a donation (any amount counts!) and I thank you for showing interest in my work :)
My fingers are crossed that I am able to bring you more designs very soon!
Thank you again!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Where I see problems arising would be achieving proper fit and construction of the garments I out-source to contractors in Los Angeles. This could potentially slow production as the garments would need to be adjusted, but this is fixable with time.
Really the biggest issue would be delays in manufacturing, and this is a problem that can be solved, it is just a bit of a bummer if it happens!
