Don’t worry if you’re new to fitness. Be patient, take your time, and be kind to yourself. That’s why we made our resistance levels so adjustable so people could start light, but also crank it up for a more physically demanding effort as you grow with the system. While your body will respond quickly and adapt to training on the Excy System, people new to fitness may find higher resistance levels difficult, especially for arms. In this situation it’s useful to use a heart rate monitor to regulate your training intensity. If you initially find the going too tough, you should plan to periodically stop and rest to recover. If you don’t want to stop, another option is to change into a much easier resistance level (either forward or reverse) and slow your cadence right down until you recover.
