About this project
Once Yokohama was just a fishing village, but now at the beginning of the Meiji era it's becoming a harbor open to foreign countries and one of the leading trade cities of Japan. As a result, many Japanese products such as copper and raw silk are collected in Yokohama for export to other countries. At the same time, the city is starting to incorporate foreign technology and culture, with even the streets becoming more modernized. In the shadow of this development was the presence of many Yokohama merchants.
In YOKOHAMA, each player is a merchant in the Meiji period, trying to gain fame from a successful business, and to do so they need to build a store, broaden their sales channels, learn a variety of techniques, and (of course) respond to trade orders from abroad.
Rahdo's Final Thoughts
Yokohama is the most exciting euro game for me (Michael Mindes) since playing Orléans, and I personally want a copy with all of the deluxe components.
Our previous Backers for Orléans are extremely pleased with their purchase, and we want to make this deluxified style of game available again.
The additional cost for the deluxe components matches our cost with no additional profit, to make them and deliver to you the backer. For this reason, TMG expects to make this deluxe version only once. We will make enough for Kickstarter Backers, some replacement copies, and some convention sales.

We really love YOKOHAMA at TMG, which is why we are publishing it. In fact, it is part of the reason that we worked diligently to license the game from Mr. Hayashi and Kickstart it within 7 weeks of first playing the game.
Of course, we also really want you to buy YOKOHAMA, so I recommend you check out what others are saying.
Undead Viking's Review:
Thoughts From Folks At Origins
Yokohama is a game for 2-4 Players, and can be played in 60-90 min.
A turn in Yokohama is very simple, you place 2-3 assistants, then Activate your President, choose to fulfill any orders you can, maybe activate a mercenary...turn over. The beauty in this game is how much depth of play emerges from those simple choices in the game environment.
Undead Vikings Setup and How To Play:
In the video above Game Setup is covered until 7:40 after which game play is explained as well as details for each Area and Management Board.
The linked rulebook above is the current English rulebook, however TMG will be making a few edit's and changes. While the majority of the game play will stay the same, there will be a few very minor updates to the Two Player game.
All deluxe copies of YOKOHAMA will be pre-packaged at the factory with a layer of bubble wrap and an additional box for protection during shipping.
We have all had that bad shipping experience, and we don't want that to happen with your game... Depending on where you live in the world, we are getting your Deluxe YOKOHAMA to you in the best ways that we know how:

Risks and challenges
Tasty Minstrel Games (TMG) has delivered numerous games throughout the world. Some that were funded on Kickstarter and some that were not. As an established small games company, the real question is making sure we manage potential sources of delay and communicating clear expectations throughout the campaign and after the funding ends.
TMG is now a growing team of 7 individuals that are managing all aspects of the business which has helped to mitigate all of the various risks and challenges.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
