Upon its first release in 2010, Luna was praised for its combination of unique mechanisms intertwined with a wide range of options and the need for players to use clever planning to make the most of each of their actions. Now it is back, with BRAND NEW content, created by Ralph Bruhn and Stefan Feld, specifically made for this NEW, Deluxified™ version.
In Luna, the players will take on the role as a head of a priestly order. You will direct your followers to travel to mystical islands and partake in divine worship. They will work at the temple and create shrines to venerate their religious beliefs. With 14 different actions at your disposal, it would seem that the possibilities are endless, but as your opponents pass on their turns, your time to act will grow short! This makes Luna not only a deeply strategic experience, but a highly interactive one as well!
You may notice that the components for the Deluxified™ version of Luna are already improved and are not dependent upon Stretch Goals to be upgraded. We are loading up Luna with top of the line additions from the get go so all of our backers don't have to worry if they are going to get a full Deluxified™ game with their pledge - they will! - and as the campaign continues, we have several additions in mind that will make the Deluxified™ version even better!
Tasty Minstrel Games is of the opinion that amazing games should also look amazing while you are playing them. This is why we offer an upgraded version of our releases when we have a Kickstarter campaign. Ever since we first undertook this process, with the game Orleans, the Deluxified™ versions of our games have proven to be fan favorites, and we think that our Deluxe version of Luna will continue this amazing tradition that some of our other games like Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done and Yokohama helped forge.
The additional cost for the Deluxified™ version of Luna matches our cost to make and deliver it to you, the backer, with no additional profit. For this reason, TMG will only make Deluxified™ Luna available through crowdfunding. We will make enough for Kickstarter Backers, some replacement copies, and some for convention sales in Limited Quantity. Backing this Kickstarter at the Deluxified™ level is the only way that you can guarantee yourself a Deluxe copy of Luna.
We are offering and add-on for a larger Neoprene Mat to use underneath the islands and temple board as you play Luna. This will contain brand new art from Klemens Franz and samples can be seen below.
The Add-On price will be $25 and it can be added onto any pledge level.

TMG is going to use a different route when it comes to the idea of Stretch Goals for this campaign. We have already loaded up the Deluxe game with top of the line components, and we did this so our backers don't have to wait around and hope that a certain pledge level is hit before a certain upgrade is added to the campaign.
Instead, as the campaign moves along, we will announce different treats that we will add to the game, as our way of thanking all of you for your continued support and faith in all of us here at TMG.

What does Friendly Shipping mean? It means that for each of the above countries we will be sending bulk shipments to fulfillment partners paying VAT and fulfilling more directly. We have also done all we can to ensure that globally everyone has a good experience with the best shipping options that we could source. Whenever a shipping partner has the games and is ready to ship, we give the green light. This means that some parts of the world might receive their game a few weeks before other places. This is done so that you get your game the earliest we are able to get it to you!
Friendly Local Game Stores are an invaluable part of this hobby that we love, and we appreciate everything they do to bring value to the industry. We want to support them in any way we can.
The $85 pledge level grants you as a retailer an invitation to the Crowdox pledge manager where you can purchase Luna Deluxe in case quantities (e.g. 4, 8, or 12). The $85 will be applied towards your final purchase at checkout.
Retailers are required to finalize their checkout no later than August of 2019. However, you must complete the survey through Crowdox promptly once the survey goes live. This will allow TMG to properly determine how many to manufacture.
Retailers must have a US based address. If you live outside of the US, please determine a US base address for your freight forwarder. If you haven't done so in the past, you are required to provide TMG with proof of being a retailer.
All of us here at TMG realize that a good relationship between publisher and backer during a crowdfunding campaign is paramount for it to be a success. It is our goal to make sure that the communication in the Kickstarter projects run by Tasty Minstrel Games will be among the most active and connected to be found on the crowd funding platform.
To achieve this, TMG will do the following:
For the first 7 days of the campaign, we will post updates at least once every 72 business hours. In addition, during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on weekdays), the comments page will be monitored for questions and those will be answered by the TMG Staff.
After the first 7 days, while the campaign is live, we will update the campaign at least once a week. The comments page will continue to be checked on a regular basis (but not continuously monitored) every day and questions will be answered at those times.
After the campaign has concluded, any questions about the campaign should be directed through normal TMG support lines, or through direct message on Kickstarter. Updates will be sent whenever new, pertinent information about the campaign can be relayed to backers. If 30 days go by without new, pertinent information, a quick "all is well" update will be posted to maintain communication with our backers.
After the games have been sent to our backers, and fulfillment has been completed, we will consider the campaign to be concluded, and any further communication would need to go through our normal support lines.
It is our mission and our intent that with these guidelines, our backers will enjoy an unprecedented level of connection to the campaign, ensuring a satisfying experience from the beginning of the campaign to the day that the game is delivered to them, and beyond.
Risks and challenges
Tasty Minstrel Games (TMG) has published and delivered dozens of games across the globe. Some that were funded on Kickstarter and some that were not. Because of this, TMG feels that there should be no concern as to whether a crowd funded game will be delivered - it will.
TMG's main focus with any of our games is making sure we detect and pre-emptively manage potential sources of delay during the production and fulfillment process, along with communicating clear expectations and information throughout the campaign and continuing to do so after the funding period ends.
