Part of the March 6th bump had to do with the contest on BGG being started that day I believe.

    2. Daisy Swaffer on

Does anyone know what caused the big spike on 6th March btw?

    3. Blindsight on

Has there been any update yet about which company they're using to ship to Canada? Please tell me they're using USPS, or at the very least *not* UPS!

    4. followthechris on

Could not have been any closer! Congrats to everyone!

    5. Christoph Wagner on

What? We reached 250k? Epic! And congrats guys!

Look at the pledges by day, that was an impressive spike at the end:

    6. Dagda

Wow I am glad that I just woke up. When I went to sleep, I would have bet on not reaching the 250k, expecting this thriller at the end, I wouldn't have slept at all.
Thanks for a great campaign and congratulations to reaching the final goal. Now starts the hardest part for us backers - waiting for August. ;)

    7. Darryl G on

Thanks 10,876 times! And thanks to TMG for putting such a great project on Kickstarter for us to be a part of. With it being that close it really takes everyone coming together to reach that goal. I can't wait until August! :)

Does anybody still have any nails left? That was see-sawing right up until the last seconds.

    12. Stephen Dahlin

      Holey Moley! Congratulations!

People adding and subtracting pledges. The number is bouncing everywhere.

    23. Kenneth on

      What is direct traffic?

    27. Leetcat on

7K to go with under 50 mins left! Its gonna be a close one!

Which of those are links from other projects? I found this one either via Story War or MOD (can't remember which, probably MOD).

I think cross-project promotion is probably one of the most powerful tools, as its a direct advertisement to people that are already savvy to kickstarter, as well as interested in other projects. Having someone *I* trust, like Dave Malki ! or whoever, tell me to trust *you*, make me more willing to do it. Even though probably half my backed projects are via word-of-mouth from other projects, I still feel it's a bit of a potentially icky practice. Kind of like when you were a kid and you gave someone gum and then suddenly all your other classmates come out from behind the cubbies, hands outstretched greedily while the teacher says you should have brought enough for the whole class. Except in this case it's the person you gave gum to saying "you should really give Alice some gum, and Andrew, and Ben, and Mindy really needs some gum too."

      That analogy fell apart. Sorry.

My guess is that most of the "Direct Traffic" supporters originally found the page through one of the other sites (I saw it at BGG and through your company email, for example), checked out the game, thought about it, and then came back and pledged later.

80 minutes to go and 9K short of 250k.

    32. Timothy Hunt on

Looks like that post has been deleted from /r/gaming as well. Most likely because redditquette says:

Please don't Repost deleted/removed information. [...] It doesn't matter what the content was. If it was deleted/removed, it should stay deleted/removed.

I'm happy we got the complete Expansion Set 1. The die? It's nice, but I won't miss it if the $250K isn't reached. But it looks like it will make it with about 45 minutes to spare.

    34. Sarah Reed

Wow, so very close. Sad that i have to go to bed now, but hope to wake up to good news that we made it to $250k. If not, hopefully the die will be included in a future expansion or campaign.

BGG is the reason I knew about this.

@Cerity: I gave an extra $23, so that covers about 15 people that might be sleeping right now.

      So close, yet so far!
