About Alex, Michael and Black Snow
Michael and I met in summer camp, enemies due to the machinations of a girl, then uneasy allies due to our love of opening doors for people, then friends, who spent the summer being rowdy, low down, and lovers of the run-on sentence. After many aborted projects and a trail of broken dreams, it was decided that we would create the best super-hero comic known to man and beast. Two words that would alter our respective destinies: BLACK SNOW
We quickly wrote an awful script for our first issue. Later we modified some of it to make it less awful. The finished product was less than great, with both the art and the writing being extremely raw, not to mention our penchant for Mystery Men jokes, a huge gorilla, and a Joker knock off. Come to think of it, those three things were all intricately related in the story. I was presented with the first copy while at my birthday dinner.
I was turning 19. My whole future was ahead of me. A college degree. Fame. Love. But the trail of broken dreams continues. People come and go. Fads rise and fall. I've lost friends, lovers, jobs, respect, money, and my figure. But I still have Black Snow. He's the drunken lecher with the heart of gold. The defender of the dying Motor City. I have been trying to tell his story since the early days of the George W. Bush's first term. Black Snow has outlasted Bush, as he will outlast Obama, and whoever follows. Black Snow is forever.
Michael and I, after careful deliberation, decided to revamp our flagship title, which is now the graphic novel we humbly ask for your help in publishing. We are almost thirty now, and the years have made us leaner, and hungrier, and less idiotic in terms of Mystery Men jokes, huge gorillas, and Joker knock offs. When things were darkest, when we doubted our abilities, we got back to the source of who Black Snow is. He's basically us. Maybe a little drunker, but he's basically us. We owed it to Black Snow to give him a title worthy of his imprint on us. So we have started over from scratch and the results speak for themselves. Some of Michael's finest art is contained within these pages, and some of my jokes are also par and adequate. We've been living with Black Snow and his friends and enemies for over a decade now. We know them inside and out. We hope you'll join us for the remainder of this strange journey. This story is the raw grimy shit from the heart.

About the Graphic Novel:
Black Snow: Two Drink Minimum is the dark, gritty, yet oddly comedic modern day black and white noir-esque graphic novel about an unsuccessful alcoholic superhero trying to make it in the dangerous and crumbling city of Detroit. The central figure, Black Snow, is a chain-smoking alcoholic "superhero" who aspires for fame, but has settled for greed, as he has turned helping people in trouble into a business. He has an incredible variety of super powers, but can't manage to control any of them.
He and his group of oddball friends and roommates inadvertently find themselves caught in the middle of a gang war for the control of the Motor City and the police retaliation that ensues. It is a complex tale full of subplots, surprises, philosophy, action and a whole lot of heart.
Will Black Snow ever succeed and rise up to become the true hero he originally set out to be, or will he continue to spiral down until ultimately self destructing?
Praise For Black Snow
Black Snow: Two Drink Minimum was the 1st Runner-Up Washington Post Best Webcomic of 2011
"It’s a little bit camp, a little gritty and filled with a lot of character. At its heart, it is a true superhero story." - Delos, ArtPatient.com
"Nice work, love the shadows and darkness of the art...at the same time with humour. I always like to see different type. This webcomic's not standard like manga and American style... bit more cartoonistic I would say. Good story and nice artwork....Keep up the good work." - Alexandre Robillard, Zorhyon Comic
"What happens when you possess superpowers you can't control? Disaster of course! Add a couple off oddballs to the already cranked up life a drunkard superhero and it's a tangled story all in all. Black Snow comics is just about that, a bizarre superhero with a gang of misfits embarking into equally bizarre adventures...." - Luke, 2-Click-Comics
"I really got a kick out of your comic. I particularly like your concept, it is both original and a ton of fun to read. Keep up the great work!" - Jordan, Imagine Industries
"...yourself and Alex are creating a wonderful comic universe that most people don’t have the ability or drive to do themselves. That alone is one hell of an achievement." - Mark "Rawr!" Egan, Back Office
"It definitely has a unique style...I really like the character designs" - Larry Marder, Beanworld
1. For every $100 raised Mark Egan will produce an additional I'm Famous in Japan! page ahead of schedule!

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge will be to finish drawing the book. It's already all written and there are really just a few more scenes left to draw, so it should not be a problem. From there it will go through a formatting and proofing phase, before ultimately being printed and shipped out to all you fantastic supporters.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
