Dungeons and Dragons is full of dashing adventurers and handsome knaves. We see men proudly dressed, robes and cloaks fluttering in the wind. But we rarely see these men’s sensual sides...
Meet the Strapping Lads, an all-male, queer-friendly adventuring guild. Every year, the guild selects twelve of its handsomest members, one from each class, to pose for their fundraiser magazine. Enjoy this roster of sexy adventurers fit for your entertainment, or for adding as NPCs to your campaign.

What it is
The Strapping Lads book is a full-color 28-page supplement for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. It features twelve male characters, one of each class from the 5e Player’s Handbook. Each character’s spread contains a saucy pin-up, a condensed statblock, and an interview profile.
More than simply eye candy, the Strapping Lads are characters you can include in your own game as either a player or a DM!
All physical products will be shipped using USPS Flat-Rate Priority Mail. Shipping cost is the same no matter what you order.
Wooden Map Tokens
You can get a full set of Lads' map tokens! These laser-engraved wood tokens are 1" wide, perfect for using on your table maps. You'll get twelve tokens total, one of each Lad, so you can include them in your campaigns!
Due to the processing time, this will take a bit more time to fulfill. The art shown is a preview and the final product's appearance may vary.
Custom Character Dice Bags (Limited Quantity)
You can get YOUR character’s face on a dice bag! These canvas bags are approximately 5.5x7.5 inches flat. They’re quite large, perfect for accommodating every gamer’s growing dice collection. We all know we can never settle on just one set. I draw the portrait digitally and use sublimation to press the ink into the cloth. Dice bags are water resistant, but should not be run in the dryer. Doing so may cause the ink to fade.
- One (1) digital character headshot
- One (1) dice bag with your character’s headshot
To save on shipping costs, your Strapping Lads book will be shipped with the dice bag. This may delay your shipment approximately 1-2 months.
Custom Character Commissions (Limited Quantity)
At this tier, you’ll receive a print copy of the book AND I’ll draw you a full-color, full-body picture of one D&D character with no background. This can be your character or you can do it as a gift for your friend or favorite player! This portrait can be as safe or as saucy as you would like (18+ art is acceptable).
The commission itself is a digital-only reward. You will NOT receive a print along with your print Strapping Lads book. However, the final drawing will be delivered at high resolution if you wish to print it.
Stretch goals unlocked!
If we reach $1,000, I'll add an Artificer character as a digital bonus feature!
At $1,250, I'll add a Mystic! And if we hit $1,500, I'll add a Gunslinger.
Since I have most of the pre-Stretch copy ready, I'll include these three characters as a digital-only supplement. This way I can get you the books in the promised time frame.
However! If we reach $2,000 I'll include the bonus classes in the print edition as well!
About the Creator
Hello! I'm Micah, a Virginia-based illustrator and cartoonist with a love of tabletop gaming, mythology, comics, and pin-up art. I’ve felt like there is a need for more saucy male art in tabletop gaming, so I created the Strapping Lads supplement to satisfy that need.
If you enjoy my work, you can find more on Patreon, Twitter, deviantART, and Instagram! I also create the online comic, the Sparrow, a mythology-meets-superheroes story where all the characters are based on myth and folklore from around the world!
Risks and challenges
The art is complete, the print layout is made, and much of the writing is done. All that remains is finishing some of the writing and character sheets. This will all be done by the end of the Kickstarter campaign, so the entire project is set to go to the printer as soon as the funds clear. I'm working with a consultant, so I'm confident that worst case scenario, the print edition arrives in September instead of August.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
