Hello. Thank you for watching the video and reading about this project. Here we go:
I was frustrated, and annoyed with myself.
Time was slipping by and I knew I wasn't making the most of it.
It's true. Once it became a habit, I couldn't stop.
I didn't want to.
Streaking was always on my mind.
The reason? Because if you're doing it, you feel great.
If not, you're missing out.
Yes, but not the way you think.
It's true. "Streaking" means running naked in a public place.
But not all streakers are naked.
Read on. It will make sense in a minute.
A year seems like a long time, but it will pass in the blink of an eye.
And then another one will go by.
Then a few more.
And before you know it, you’ll be ten years older.
You can’t stop time.
But you can choose whether to use it well, or waste it.
What will your life look like in a year?
Consider all aspects of your life — career, health, relationships, finances & long-term goals.
How are things really going?
If you're not 100% happy about your direction & progress, Streaker's Journal can help.
Too often, we plan to do things, with great intentions, but...
Things happen. We get busy, lazy, distracted, etc.
We need something to help us execute those plans.
Something to keep us focused & accountable.
“If you don't find some way to use your time well,
you will look back on your life,
with deep regret,
What might have been?”
If you follow the Streaker's Journal process every day, you'll start to see results in 2 to 3 weeks.
You'll start thinking more carefully about what you want & how you spend your time.
Incredibly, you'll feel yourself getting pulled towards positive habits.
And these small changes will unlock your potential and help you get unstuck.
The Streaker’s Journal is great at helping you reach goals, but it's more than that.
For example, every day, it prompts you to do something to build or strengthen your relationships.
Quick and simple things are just fine, if your heart's in the right place.
Instead of slowly losing touch and drifting apart, Streaker’s Journal makes the people you care about a priority, rather than an afterthought.
Think of how powerful that is — in no time at all you'll have better relationships!
A habit is something you do over and over again.
They become so familiar that we do them automatically, without really thinking (autopilot).
That's why it’s so important to curb bad habits & develop good ones.
Streaker's Journal can help.
(1) Start with something small & easy, but measurable (you either did it, or you didn't).
(2) Stay with it for 3 to 4 weeks (this is the hardest part — we've got you covered).
(3) Finally, it will start to take root (and get easier).
Instead of forcing yourself to do it, you'll mostly do it on autopilot.
"Streaking" means doing something for at least 3 days in a row.
In other words, you're on a streak.
And if you are on a streak, YOU are a streaker!

Want proof that habits work?
When Jerry Seinfeld was starting out as a comedian, he kept a calendar on his wall.
Every day that he wrote comedy material, he put an X on the calendar for that day.
His rule was simple: don't break the streak of X's.
No matter how tired, lazy, or anything else he was, progress towards his long-term goal was measured in X's.
He either wrote comedy that day and earned an X, or he didn't.
The desire to keep a streak going — especially a long streak — was powerful motivation.
This is the exact same system at the heart of the Streaker's Journal.
All those days of Jerry Seinfeld's continuous effort paid off. Yours will too.

"Plan for Tomorrow" page:
Checking each "Done" box above + reviewing your day on the page below is key.
It captures what you learn and accomplish.
But it also keeps you accountable & inspires you to follow-through on your commitments.
Don't believe me?
Wait until you read my short Midnight Pushups story, at the bottom.
What about zooming-out, so you can create a master plan for each week?
Read on — we've got you covered.
After a few days, the layout and logic of your Streaker's Journal will make perfect sense.
You'll appreciate it. You'll know it like the back of your hand...

Each week, pick a "Most Critical Thing" that will have the most impact on your life & goals.
The pages below help you focus on that and succeed:
A week later, review how your Most Critical Thing turned out:
See the pattern? Plan, then review what happened (and learn from it).
There's more to the weekly planning & review than this, but you get the idea.
Streaker's Journal has a short section in the beginning with advice and information about setting long-term goals, then asks you to write yours down (a key step to making them real):
Streaker's Journal asks this question every week
It's simple, but critical.
Unless you build your long-term goals into each week's plan, you won't make progress and you'll never reach them.
Learn How To Track Your Streaking in the Streaker's Journal:
And that's it. Easy!
Trust me, you will definitely have failures, setbacks and bad days.
Just learn what you can and start making progress again.
Here's why the Streaker’s Journal exists:
• To help you focus on what’s important, and make real progress every day.
• And to hold you accountable, so you follow-though.
Actually, that's bullshit.
It was originally created to help me do those things.
Now that it's all finished and works beautifully, I'm sharing it with you.
Honestly, I've put so much of myself into creating & launching this, that if the world rejects or ignores the Streaker's Journal, it will feel like the world is rejecting and ignoring me.
I don't think there's any way around this.
It's part of the risk faced by every person on Kickstarter (and elsewhere) who creates something personal and tries to share it with the world.
I've tried to prepare myself by making sure I do the very best I can, every step of the way, and realizing that the rest is out of my hands.
When you first hold the Streaker's Journal, you'll feel how perfect the size and weight are. Not too heavy, not too large, and not too small. Just right for slipping into a bag or backpack, while still providing plenty of space to read and write easily.
• Size: 6 x 9 inches
• Weight: 18 ounces
• Interior: 272 pages (subject to final edit), black ink
• Undated, so you are not "held hostage" to the calendar
• Duration: covers nine full weeks
• Paper: 60# Glatfelter Natural paper at 420ppi (tentative)
• Ribbon markers: at least two, so it's easy to mark & find key pages
• Cover: hardbound cover that opens and lays flat (quality "Smyth Sewn" binding)
Images below are early drafts. Final printed books are lighter, with hard, lay-flat covers.
Feel the crisp (natural) off-white paper. There's no slippery coating, which would cause smudging and make it hard to write.
The very first words you write in the Streaker's Journal make it uniquely yours.
It will never be the same ... and neither will you.
Yes, it would be cheaper to print in China, which would mean prices could be lower. However, printing in the U.S. offers great benefits:
- We're happy to support jobs in America, where we and (we expect) most of our customers are located.
- Much faster and greener shipping (China is more than 7,000 miles from Chicago - it takes a lot of time, money and energy to ship heavy pallets of books such a great distance).
- If trade tensions move in a terrible direction, we won't be stuck apologizing to our beloved supporters on Kickstarter.
- It seems extremely difficult to build a relationship and work out an agreement with a company located on the other side of the world, with very different culture and language.
All of this means if we do hit our funding goal we will definitely be able to produce and ship the Streaker's Journal, as promised or faster, for the money raised.
Yes indeed. If you're not happy, you get 100% of your money back!
But there's a catch (isn't there always?):
Before getting a refund, you must actually use your Streaker's Journal for at least 2 weeks.
(1) It costs a lot of money to print and deliver each copy; and
(2) If you give it an honest try, you'll see how effective the Streaker's Journal is.
Don't worry — writing in your journal WILL NOT void this money back guarantee.
If you buy multiple copies, you only have to try one of them. Return the unused copies, in new condition, to P.O. Box 91 Mendham, NJ 07945 (use USPS's inexpensive "media mail").
Some early testers wanted to "jump right in" at the start, skipping the Streaker's Journal background and how it works.
Even though the pages are small (6 x 9 inches), I can appreciate that "let's go" feeling. I often feel the same way (unless I get stuck, in which case I want all the help I can get).
This generous feedback made me delete and simplify some of the upfront content.
But even so, the "jump right in" crowd still has to skip over a quite a few pages.
Do whatever suits you. If anything is ever unclear...
Streaker's Journal is not for everyone.
Here are people who should avoid the Streaker's Journal and not purchase it:
- Anyone who is truly content and not hungry to grow and make progress.
- Anyone who is already experiencing great results with some other tool or method. Unless you have an important reason to change, keep doing what you're doing.
- Anyone who's unambitious or just plain lazy. Streaker's Journal takes effort, so don't waste your time if you're unwilling to work.
If there's something you want to ask or discuss, don't hesitate to call or text me.
8am - 6pm is best. Thanks.
Money will be used to purchase the actual journal books (printing), as well as boxes, mailing labels and shipping (prices include Free Shipping in the USA).
Note: We plan to donate 10% of revenue to charity, however, Kickstarter's rules forbid campaign funds being raised for charity.
That's why NONE of the funds raised in this campaign will be used for charity, so we have reduced the priced here accordingly.
Yes, it's true.Here's what happened:
One of the exercise goals I wrote in my Streaker's Journal last Friday was to do 50 pushups.
I missed my usual exercise time in the morning, but figured I'd be able to do it at some point during the day.
Well, before I knew it, the whole day and evening had zipped by.
It was 11:38pm. I was tired, lying in bed, and filling-out my Streaker's Journal.
I was so close to reaching all my goals for the day (we call this a "clean sweep"), except for one thing. You guessed it — those darn pushups.
Ugh! I wish I had taken one quick minute during the day to get them done, but I didn't.
I debated what to do.
No one was watching. I could just lie and check the "Done" box in my journal. Clean sweep!
I could even promise myself that I'd do 150 pushups the next day, to make up for it.
Nope. Once you start cheating, it's hard to stop.
So I had two options left. Go to sleep, without checking that last "Done" box, or get out of bed and do those pushups.
Really? At 11:46pm?
Yes. I did them.
Trust me, it wasn't fun in the moment, but I still feel a little bit proud telling that story.
It reminds me of this wonderful quote (sorry, I don't know who created it):
"Pain is temporary."
This doesn't change how painful something is in a given moment, but knowing it won't last makes it a bit easier.
Let's end at the beginning, with the first lines from the video above:
Imagine if you were able to focus on the most important things, in every part of your life.
And you were clear about what you want.
And you woke up every morning knowing exactly what to do today.
How far could you go?
Let's find out...
Risks and challenges
Delivery timing is pretty solid, because we have an experienced printer in the U.S.A. (no worries about delayed overseas shipping or customs problems).
Some possible risks are that our printer's equipment gets damaged or breaks (fire, flood, etc.), or one of their key skilled printing employees either leave or somehow is not able to work on the anticipated schedule.
Another risk is that, as a novice purchaser or printing services, and how relatively few printers produce "layflat" printed books, that a mistake might get made and the wrong specs are ordered. I don't think this is likely, since I've been very careful to clearly communicate the "layflat" requirement from the outset.
Another risk is that the volume of orders might greatly exceed expectations and the printer might not be capable of printing a huge volume. If this "problem" occurs, it's very likely larger book printers could easily fill the void.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
