Getting the Word Out for LUMINNO!
We're working to get the word out on LUMINNO GlowaSwitch. We started this campaign in a grassroots fashion the first week but soon we're planning a wider PR campaign to try and build more momentum and traction.
Last night, we took advantage of a 2-minute stage-time pitch opportunity at San Francisco's Runway Incubator for a San Francisco Hardware Startup Meetup event sponsored by Dragon Innovation. There, we were able to do a live demonstration of LUMINNO GlowaSwitch for the over 110+ person audience and received a lot of positive comments and useful consumer feedback. Live demos help us show people LUMINNO's impressive glow performance and proved to be an effective way to break the common misperception that "glow-in-the-dark" is only a gimmick used in cheap, low cost, Halloween toys. Our sense was that people were surprised and impressed by how quickly LUMINNO's glow material charges and how elegant and simple the solution is. We plan to attend more live events like this in August and will soon be implementing a wider PR campaign throughout North America.
At the event, we spoke with others who have traversed the crowdfunding minefield before and have learned just how important it is for us to show an initial spike in backer support because hints have been given to us that this is one of the key and crucial factors that help to move us up in the category listings on Kickstarter.
We need to improve our visibility on Kickstarter itself so please continue to share and support our campaign with your networks as much as you can! We suspect even a $1 pledge still helps to register as another listing-upping backer on the crowdfunding ranking algorithms.
It's my sincere hope that together, we can at least reach the $15,000 goal by August so all of you backers will have this unique and useful invention in hand and home by November 2016.
