Congratulations, Kickstarters, your mission is a success—the album is released!
What did you want to be when you grew up? An angel? A record label?
Now, you are both!
I am so very proud and grateful that we did this together. What a gift is this accomplishment, achieved with your love, generosity, and active participation in the creation of new music!
And now, your pledge reward package delivery status update (brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department … Bureau!):
- Everyone who pledged to receive the full album and/or 3-song download should have received an email with your link to the high-quality MP3s (please contact me if you're sure it has not arrived after double-checking your email program's bulk/trash filters).
- Environmentally-friendly CDs, Thank You notes, and hand-drawn postcards shipped over the past two weeks and should arrive at your door ASAP.
- The limited edition vinyl LP is being lovingly crafted through our new best friends at Bellwether Manufacturing and should arrive in time for the holidays.
- Those of you who ordered prints of the album art painting by the fabulous Laurie Maves will receive them along with your vinyl LP.
If you're in Colorado next week, please join us on Saturday, October 1st from 7:00–9:00 PM at Anthology Fine Art (635 Santa Fe Drive, Denver) for our Album Launch Party, where Laurie will paint live as we enjoy treats and listen to the entire album in hi-fi sound! Bring friends and family, all ages welcome.
We'll cook up more listening parties and events throughout the next year as James and I make our way around the U.S. and abroad. Hope to see you soon!
To quote my favorite late '80s cheesy time travel flick Millennium, stealing from Winston Churchill:
"This is not the end. This is not even the beginning of the end. This is the end … of the beginning."
Much love and endless gratitude to you,
