About this project
Stan is a story about an unusual man who is abandoned at birth on the doorstep of an old house. He spends most of his life in solitude, never really accepted or visited by others, aside from the occasional pranksters. Stan uses his imagination and hobbies, particularly his obsession with discarded objects, to fill his void until one day....
Stan was inspired by a visit to the fun-filled Robot Chicken studios, after which I endeavored to learn everything I possibly could about claymation. My inspiration also came from film icons Tim Burton, Henry Selick, and Adam Elliot, who I aspire to one day work with. This film is a personally funded project, and I am the writer, director, artist, and animator. I will also be commissioning other artists for animation, narration, set design, and sound design. So far, these talented kind-hearted artists have joined the team:
Julianne Loof- Assistant Art Design
Matt Strnad- Music & Sound Design
Iain Sandison- Narration
Will Rubin- Post Production
Reaching my humble budget goal will be just enough to cover the software, camera, lighting, set equipment, supplies, and props involved in realizing and producing this short claymation film. Anything raised above that will be used to pay those involved in the film for their time. Please help my project come to life!
I will be using Dragonframe technology and hand-manipulated figures created out of baked sculpey clay/mixed media on a 30"x50" set inside my humble abode. The process will be incredibly time consuming, but very rewarding. Check out my progress below...

Risks and challenges
A potential challenge that I foresee is completing the film by the proposed deadline. As this is not a commercial endeavor, all people working on the film are donating their time outside of their regular jobs and will do their best to complete it within 1 year as planned. Other challenges may be lack of funding and unforeseen setbacks related to broken equipment.
