Hello, everyone! Thank you for taking the time to look at my Meta Pins for the Pin Collector Kickstarter! My name is Mei, and I am the person behind Mei Bee Art. I love Japan, books, anime, video games, animals, and of course pins!
I started really collecting pins in February of 2018, and it has taken over my life; last year alone I bought 449 pins! What better way to share that feeling with you all than this Kickstarter?
If you look at my profile, you will see I had 4 successful Kickstarters, and backed over 100 Kickstarters, almost all having to do with pins. I also collaborated on a Kickstarter with Kittynaut that was successful (link). From these you can tell I am dedicated to making this a fun and successful experience for all!
Each pin will be back stamped, have 2 back posts, and be gold metal. They will also come on backing cards designed specifically for this Series! (mock up of backing card to come later)
I Won A Gold Star is Currently Unlocked as a pledgeable pin, unlocks at $4000 or 200 backers (which ever coms first) as a free pin for all pin tiers for 2 or more pins
- September 14th - October 12th: Pledging to reach the goals
- November: Surveys go out for the pins you want. Production starts for unlocked pins.
- February - March: I receive pins from the manufacturer, quality check them, and send them out to you!

A big Thank you to all of you who have put your faith in me by backing my Kickstarter. Without each of you this Kickstarter would never have been possible! You are all my inspiration! You all keep me going!
Risks and challenges
When creating enamel pins, there are several obstacles that commonly arise, even when using trusted manufacturers: factory delays, and bad batches that need replacements. I will do my best to resolve all the problems quickly and keep you guys updated on any delays. Please note, these designs may be slightly altered in the final physical product: such as color and line thickness. Colors may appear different due to monitor settings. I will, personally, inspect every pin to make sure no defective pins get sent out!
Manufacturering & Holidays: During the Christmas season all manufacturers are backed up with heavy orders, this may delay the pin production. Also manufacturers go on a long holiday in January during the time these pins should be in production, that may also delay the pins.
Then there are also possible delays like general life problems, I am one just one person so I do have to Quality check, pack pins and ship them all myself. I work a full time job on top of this business so please have patience.
International Shipping Challenges:
When shipping internationally I will make every effort to properly fill out customs forms. I will abide by your countries customs and shipping laws, which means I will denote the package value as the cost of your order, and mark this as merchandise. Please do not ask me to change the value of your package, or mark it as a gift. As this would be illegal and I could get into serious trouble for that. I am not responsible if your country holds your package and requires extra payment to release it.
