you have not missed an email, i just vastly underestimated how much work everything was, and on top of my actual job ended up pushing the digital stuff back. i actually have your book packaged and sitting in front of me, in the stack of internationals. there's paperwork, so it's taking me longer.

I've moved beyond "Kickstarter Addict" to "Kickstarter connoisseur", and I want you to know I backed your project because your intro video was delightful.

The next time someone asks me why some projects get funded and others don't, you're page will be exhibit "A".

Oh, and although I backed it before I so much as saw your webpage, now I have. The art and the writing are BOTH good (and that's vital). Thanks for the opportunity to back you and get a book!

P.S. (although I didn't 'Script" anything to "Post") I had to google French Flaps... excellent!

100th backer! fyeah. way beyond excited for this.

    27. Charles Swinford on June 19, 2012

There's an awful lot of P. Craig Russel in those pages, which I adore. I also happily surprised by the writing. I did not see that first big twist coming. I'm glad to offer support if for no other reason than to get you two to make more!

    28. Brian Slattery on June 16, 2012

I'm so glad you did this kickstarter because after Spike tweeted a link I had to read it all and then give you money. This is so so so good and I just know you're gonna pass your pledge goal by MILES. Seriously this comic is amazing!

    29. Roderick Taylor on June 14, 2012

This looks awesome, love the art style. I hope you have a huge success, you deserve it =D

    30. meg gandy Creator on June 14, 2012

thank you, carl! the extra should be just fine. i'm hoping anyway--that's the amount i've seen on other kickstarters. since this is my first time doing this, i really won't know how much things actually cost until i'm in the post office shipping it off. terribly exciting, huh? but i've been alerted to some different ways of landing shipping discounts in the US, so, hopefully what i save there will balance out any unforeseen expenses. in short: thank you, you're awesome, and it should be fine.

    31. Carl Tipple on June 14, 2012

Hi Meg. I've just pledged at the $50 level (because I want it all!) I live in the UK so have added a little extra for postage, but is there an amount that you would recommend (I don't wanna leave you out of pocket)?

    32. Outland Entertainment

Hey Meg! I've been following Godsend for a while now and it's just gorgeous. Really. I'd love a chance to work with you at some point down the line! I'll try to help spread the word and of course, I'm backing you. Good luck!

    33. meg gandy Creator on June 13, 2012

that is incredibly kind, and i'd probably have a heart attack if it actually happened. thank you so much.

    34. John Hyland on June 13, 2012

And just to mention it, I'm completely thrilled to see this book being made. I've been reading since day one, and I just love Godsend. The artwork is gorgeous, the premise is intriguing, and the writing has been completely consistent while still throwing me for loops the whole way - that's hard to pull off!

Really, just completely thrilled. I hope you guys fund a thousand percent (and looking at that number shooting up over there, it wouldn't shock me to see it happen)!

    35. meg gandy Creator on June 13, 2012

john! there are two $25 reward levels, one being the book and charm, and one being the book and poster. they're labelled accordingly: "the charm" and "the poster." and it's ok about the shipping. as i said, i tried to price things with shipping in mind, so the only really problematic situation is when it's out of country. I'm going to shoot you a message so we can talk about your pledge, and if you would like to replace the poster with something else.

    36. John Hyland on June 13, 2012

Just a suggestion, but a pledge level with the book and charm, but no poster, might be nice. I don't really have a good place to hang a poster, and I *especially* don't need it if it's going to cost you guys extra in shipping. But cute little monster charms sound great, and of course I want the book (with the sketch and everything).

    37. Jenner Brothers on June 13, 2012

It's so beautiful, fingers crossed for this. All my love, Sis.
