Hi folks! This is singer-songwriter, vagabond, farmer, and naturalist Megan Bee. I've been recording an album of original new songs (and a couple new takes on old songs) out at Peachfork Studios. I'm really excited for this project! This collection varies from intimate solo tunes, to harmonious duos, to full band arrangements. Song themes flow from the beauty and darkness of a canyon, intimacy in the back seat of an old car, to finding gratitude in small things.
Guest musicians include Joe Stevens (from Coyote Grace) and Stephen Hill, Ammed Solomon, and Ryan Kennedy (from The Mountain Stage Band). All of these guys added such beauty to each song and they did it with such care and grace. If a song is like a kid, then asking someone to play on your song is like trusting them with your kid. I trust these guys, and they had such a positive impact on my kids.. I mean songs.

When you make a pledge to this campaign you help fund the studio time, mixing, mastering, artwork, design, and album printing! There are rewards for each level of support - you can get the album before it's officially released or pre-order a newly designed t-shirt. And back by popular demand, you can join the Monthly Postcard Club! I had so much fun last time I did this. I'll send you a postcard from wherever I am every month for the next year!
You can also have me write you a song or hire me for a house concert...
Whatever you wish to contribute I truly appreciate it. If you have any ideas about other rewards you'd like just let me know! We'll work something out. If you'd rather give a cash or check donation you can send it to:

Crowd funding is a way for independent artists to raise money to complete projects. Making an album as an independent musician means there's no record label to fund the project. YOU get to be the record label!
Essentially the community becomes a grassroots kind of record label that supports the artist. I am so blessed to have such a loving community of folks around me and my music.
When you back the project I am trusting that you to be true to your pledge and you're trusting me to provide the music, t-shirt, postcards, etc. We're all in this together!
Thanks so much for checking out the page! Please help spread the word and pledge if you can.
Peace, Love, and Songs,
Risks and challenges
All of the songs are recorded and backed up. There is always a risk in creative projects. It's hard to know when to stop mixing or when the artwork is really ready. But, I've done it before and I'm going to do it again. I'm working with a great team. If I get stuck in the process I'll ask for help!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
