We are raising money to fund my next album "Greg Johnson: City People." We will be in a recording studio on multiple days recording the project in pieces: rhythm section, woodwinds, strings and percussion!
All of the proceeds from my digital and physical album sales from my last two albums go toward the funding of the next album. We are aiming to raise $2000, but will likely end up spending much more.
During the Impressionism era, artists, poets, authors and musicians would all congregate in public places to show support for each others' work. Over 100 years later, we can do the same via internet and online communities! Support from friends, fans and family are greatly appreciated. Beyond the financial support, it is comforting to know that people are interested in the project and want to be an active part of the process!
Risks and challenges
After the recording process, there is mixing and mastering to consider. Since this project has so many instruments, this will be quite an endeavor. It may take a few weeks to fully mix and master. Beyond that, digital and physical distribution are quite expensive.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
