Couch Co-Op, Wood Hard
Log Jammers is a competitive, arcade sports game featuring ax-throwing, blade-catching action with a retro vibe in the vein of Windjammers. Unique character abilities, funky arenas, and trash-talking timber beasts will keep you chopping!
NES & PC are ready for play, and meeting our Kickstarter goal is how we'll be funding all the console ports and finishing touches. We've set up tournaments with our friends in the Windjammers community to fine tune the gameplay, and we want to get this feedback in.
Backers will be added to the credits, for the part they played in making Log Jammers the absolute best it can be!

Razor Sharp Gameplay
We've been fine-tuning and tweaking Log Jammers, to make sure it jams as hard as we want it to. Our fans have provided some awesome feedback at conventions, and Log Jammers has already garnered some awards!
Thank you for all of your enthusiasm and support! We've had so much fun showcasing this game the past year at events. Of course, we understand if you can't afford to buy the game, but please consider sharing our Log with your friends and acquaintances. Every wish list counts!
Chroma Integration
Razer Chroma is our favorite way to stylize the fast-paced action of Log Jammers. It is a unique, next-generation technology that Razer implements into its product line of high-end gaming equipment to allow dynamic lighting. We've implemented Chroma in a variety of engaging ways to take our games to the next level. Enhance your jam sessions with an immersive and reactive light show!

Do You Want Competition or Do You Demand It?

The Bateman Hills Log-Jamming Tournament is the place to be for a strong man who makes exercise equipment out of wood, a bloated corpse that died in an industrial accident, and the bones of a hair metal legend. Each of these mighty ax-throwers has their own stats, special abilities, and “charming” personality.
Rad Carlton
Rad is a local beach bum and the son of Sheriff Thad Carlton, Mayor Bateman’s enforcer in many of his misdeeds. The Mayor has blackmailed Rad with a local ordinance, which will prohibit surfing at Rad's favorite spots unless he hangs ten in the tournament. Most unrighteous!
Bruiser Bogardus
Strongman Bruiser trains in one of the original log cabins left behind by Bateman Hill's lumberjack founders. The Mayor has promised to fund the production of Bruiser's handmade and wood-carved exercise equipment if he can strongarm the competition.
Hot Foot Francis

Bateman Hills’s pride and glory, Francis believes that the claims of the undead are unfounded. A hometown hero athlete, she will stop at nothing to protect her community and its unsullied reputation.
Mayo Monsoon

Mayo was once an employee of Bateman Hills Mayo Co, but fell from an unsafe catwalk into a vat of product. The company's execs were golf buddies with the Mayor, and a few greased palms kept the accident a secret. Mayo has big plans for the Mayor, and Bateman Hills, if he wins.
Sparerib Boneaparte

An 80's musician whose constant partying disturbed the peace and quiet of Bateman Hills. The Mayor could not stand this nuisance, and made sure that the musician took a tumble from a hotel window. Sparerib is back to continue his world tour.
Ollie Oilsack

One of the town's resident vagrants who was crushed by logs in a freak explosion at the Lincoln Timber Company. In reality, the Mayor had orchestrated this accident to clear the town of its undesirable hobo population. These slimy sins must be brought to light.
Zombie Jack
Zombie Jack is in Bateman Hills to chop down some of its legendary Borden Birches when the undead assault begins. As a defender of humanity, and for the opportunity to stop his arch nemesis Zombear in the competition, he bravely enters the fray.
Zombear
An immortal beast that has been resurrected many times. He is Zombie Jack’s arch enemy and the pair have stalked each other through many forests and glens. However, Zombear was originally killed in a forest fire that the Mayor started with illegal fireworks from a town celebration. He has returned to Bateman Hills for vengeance.

Jam Wherever It's Wet

Think water is the only place to jam a log? Think again! Roll on through lava, 80’s netherworld goo, and smooth creamy mayonnaise as you perform extraordinary feats of lumberjack action!
Why Kickstarter
Our team at Mega Cat Studios cut its teeth making physical NES cartridges and porting some of our retro offerings into upgraded PC games. Now we want our first full-fledged PC offering a success by giving it all the features it needs to be razor-sharp instead of blunt, dull, and dead.
From extensive playtesting, tons of feedback from our fans at conventions, and counseling with our lumberjack mentors, we’ve found that online multiplayer is an absolute must. Mega Cat Studios has always focused on couch co-op play, but that can sometimes be an impossibility in our modern day and age.
Online multiplayer support is our way of including more people in the axe-throwing carnage. In the same vein, integrating with Twitch and Mixer enables spectators and lumberjack enthusiasts to join the fun, and we have several modes (such as Bear Pong) specifically for these types of users. Kickstarter is helping us to help you share all your jam sessions!

Similarly, we want you to jam out on any platform. That’s why this Kickstarter campaign will cover the cost of porting and console certification for modern consoles. We want to make a substantial and long-lasting title, and supporting a large player base is no small undertaking.
Any good competitive game needs feedback! We’re especially interested in feedback on:
- Speed! Many of our playtesters were Windjammers fans and pros. Log Jammers is very fast.
- Twitch & Mixer Interactives (feedback is everything for these!)
- New item ideas
Adding new features and porting to multiple platforms takes time and resources, and Kickstarter is the best tool to enable us to make that happen. But it’s more than that. This campaign is a way to include more would-be timber beasts in our effort to stimulate the community and make the kind of games you’ve always wanted to play.

Lumber Jacked
We have special features for the tree lover and lumberjack in all of us. In addition to timber beast characters and axe-throwing goodness, we are proud to announce a special edition wooden cartridge for the NES version of Log Jammers! This handsome hand-crafted carved NES cart is truly unique!

Budget and Schedule
We appreciate your support, and are dedicated to using the funds from Kickstarter as promised!

The PC game is nearly finished and will be launching first, within 6 weeks of the end of our campaign. The console versions are scheduled to drop Q1 2019!
We do have a few stretch goal ideas, but we’ll worry about that after we reach our bare minimum. The sooner we reach our goal, the sooner we can really start jamming.
Our current language support plans include only English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese for the PC version. We will consider others based on community involvement.
Risks and challenges
Log Jammers will be released through Steam, and ported to modern consoles. While unlikely, unanticipated changes in these platforms may delay the porting process.
Our devs aren't afraid to flex their lumberjack programming muscles, but bugs always pop up. Rest assured, however, that we will tirelessly address and fix all errors we encounter.
Physical reward fulfillment is a low-risk area for us, since we've mastered our packing and shipping processes by sending out tons of physical retro cartridges.
No matter what kind of curveblade the future throws at us, we're prepared to catch it and do whatever is necessary to releasing Log Jammers with Aximum carnage.
