Mk.III Debuts at Maker Faire with your help!
We're happy to report that the Mk.III debuted at Maker Faire successfully!!! You can check out the video here:
The debut wasn't without its hiccups - the robot had just started moving cohesively 2 days before the Faire, we'd been pulling all-nighters the whole week leading up to the performance, we had a number of bugs we had to fix while we were there, and we had to restrict top speed to 25% to keep the audience and robot safe during our performances - but by the end of the Faire we were punching cars successfully, and giving you all your rides!
We had a fantastic party with you all on Saturday night, and it was awesome getting to know so many of you. We're incredibly psyched to have you all on our team!
The next step for us is spending the next few months tuning up the Mk.III, getting it to 100% speed (while still under control, so it doesn't tear itself apart), and heading out to the Duel to take on Suidobashi! Stay tuned for opportunities to watch the tuning process and see what the Mk.III is REALLY capable of!
We have a few backers who weren't able to come out to San Francisco for the debut, and we're working on getting you all your experiences. Stay tuned as we lock down other performances around the country - we'll give you as much notice as we can, the second we sign appearance contracts! We're hoping to show up on the East Coast and in the middle of the country after the Duel in August.
Thank you all so much for your support, thank you for your patience with us as we make science fiction a reality, and we'll be in touch soon with more! Check out some fun pictures from Maker Faire and the build process in the meantime!
Thanks everyone! We'll be in touch with more soon!
