Have a question?
@Joel Stout - I responded to your email.... of course we will send you your missing piece! We try to get everything right the first time but are only human. :-) Every once in a while we make a mistake but we make it right.
Please do check your meeples when they first arrive though! Some pieces may go out of stock at some point and not be made again so it is important we know about any problems right away so we can fix them! -Cynthia
Anyone else missing one of the Near and Far meeples? I opened mine for the first time (since Near and Far just arrived) and there's seven. The birds and books are fine.
@James - Yes Those were added to the game after our project. You can find them along with other Near and Far goodies here: http://www.meeplesource.com/products.php…
Will the "pack turtle" be made for Near and Far? See you guys at Dice Tower Con!
@Kalvin - Check your Kickstarter messages, or send us an email directly at email@example.com. We sent you a direct link to your BackerKit survey on Friday (after your first private message). That BackerKit survey is how we get all of your shipping info, etc. Thanks!
I still haven't seen my order. Is there something I'm missing or did I do something wrong?
disregard - I guess they did actually add the pack tortoises to the game later. that's crappy, but apparently not meeplesource's fault
what? now there's another piece for Near and Far we're supposed to buy that wasn't included in the Kickstarter? did the game change? (don't think so) - this feels a lot like a money grab to mess with completionists/OCD types
Ok, thanks for the explanation...and now I see it on the main page as well! I guess I really didn't look too closely, I was in such a rush to order when I first saw them! Just in the interest of feedback, in my opinion the colors on the vikings turned out a bit too close to each other. However, I haven't played with them yet, so we'll see how if it really affects things. But, it's a minor issue, and you certainly displayed what they would look like, so it's all on me if I don't end up liking them for Champions of Midgard - and if that's the case, I'll send them rampaging through Carcassonne or some other unsuspecting Euro game...
Broke out the Codenames meeples yesterday to many compliments of my board gaming group! Yay for game enhancements!
@Keith - Tony is exactly correct.
@Tony - Thanks for explaining this! :-)
@Keith Ferguson - There is no need to match color of game bits. If you replace score token and meeples with these vikings its easy to tell them apart, and you're good to go. In a 3 or 4 player game you only need 4 meeples so the 5th can be your score token and the 6th can sit on your player board instead of 2nd disc. In a 2 player game you will need 5 meeples with 6th as score token, but at that point you should be able to remember which meeples you are using and don't need one on your player board.
@ Cynthia - Thank you for your quick response.
Question about the vikings for Champions of Midgard...I guess I didn't look real close when I put in my order....but the colors on these vikings are nothing like the actual colors in CoM. Those meeples are bright red, blue, green and yellow. I wonder if it was intentional to not match (or come close to) the original colors? These vikings look great...but won't match the scoring tokens in the game.
@Jesse Mason - I have written you a private message! We are sending those out to you now actually! -Cynthia
@Tony Brown - I'm so sorry about that! We are going to take care of this right away. I have sent you a private message regarding it. -Cynthia
Received my order today. Everything looks great except I am missing the character meeples for Near & Far. I received the book tokens & the bird tokens, just no characters.
Everything arrived today in Virginia, and looks great!
Got my vikings today, but unfortunately I did not receive my champions of midgard upgrade kit plus coins
Received today in Indiana. Thanks.
I just looked at that game that Karsten linked on Feb. 10 in the below comments. I think my brain just melted; 1600+ pieces, 1000 miniatures and up to NINE players!! That game looks like it would take months to play and a weekend to setup.
I hope my Vikings arrive soon =) and I also can't wait for the next campaign.
Any news on when the next campaign will be?
@Meeple Source - Thank you
Just played Scythe at our monthly all day bear dungeon gaming pot luck we host an so wished I would have had the new bling for it.
@Charles Darlage - I actually just got notice that they are on the way to us now. So we don't have them yet, but I expect we should soon, if everything goes smoothly going through customs. :) -Cynthia
Still waiting on mine. Any updates?
My people (that is, meeple), has arrived!
Some color is less bright than picture on KS, but I think it's normal.
@queerchameleon - We don't have them yet but we will let you know when we do! Of course while most backers already have their pledges, this entire project is still very early, and shipping wasn't originally expected until April. -Cynthia
Any update on the Viking meeples ?
@mesmermized - Sending you an email now!
Got my 82 set, but not the Colt Exp, Stone Age and Midgard upgrades
Today my meeples for Stone Age and Near and Far arrived at my doorstep in the Netherlands. They look wonderful!
Got mine in California! Thanks!
My set arrived today (UK). Many thanks! :o)
Got my 82 pack today! Looks great!
Got mine today in California -- so excited!
@ Meeple Source
Please forgive me for making a suggestion that is not directly related to this campaign, but given that it is over, I thought you might be up for new challenges. :-)
There currently a campaign running (until Monday night, I think) to fund a huge medieval-themed grand strategy game called «Medioevo Universalis» (https://www.GiochiStarter.it/scheda.php…), and one of the aspects of the game is trade. Being one who doesn't like if all kinds of stuff in a game are just differently coloured cubes and disks, do you think it might be conceivable to produce some fish-, winebottle-, barrel-, bread- ... shaped tokens for the game.
The above are just examples, if I remember correctly you carry some of those in your store already, but I can't recall which of the goods in MU's rules are still missing, but I could imagine that most of the merchandise could appear in other games as well.
Just a thought ...
Woo Hoo!!! Just got mine today. The Vikings were just a little sloppier than normal Meeple Source quality, but no biggie. The rest are the same great quality that I'm accustomed to seeing from Meeple Source. :)
Just noticed an extra meeple crept into my order! I LOVE when companies do little things like that... that little bit will come back to Meeple Source with my continued patronage! What a class act!
Woot! Received in San Francisco Bay Area... Great quality as usual...
I love the quality!
Got mine! Boise, ID
Might have missed an earlier update or comment - but has everything been produced (and shipped) now?
@Cynthia WOOT!!! Thank you so much sorry to be a pita asking when its being delivered so early but just real excited to play some game in style especially seeing how happy fellow backers are with their orders. Thanks again and congrats on a great campaign. Looking forward to getting more of your products in the future.
@Raymond Peters - Yours has shipped. -Cynthia
How goes it with the Stone Age sets?
I'm glad the traps were blank on the back for that exact reason of keeping them indistinguishable.
Thank you to everyone for the kind words! We've worked really hard on this project, and it feels great to see that so many of you are happy with the pieces as well.
@Richard Stecher - If you want to send a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org, we can check to see if your meeple is consistent with the print run as a whole.
@Zachary Apps - The Scythe stickers were just a fun little freebie that we included. I know that some other companies sticker their meeples and tokens, but it isn't something we've ever done (and don't intend to). I will say though, that the decision to not paint logos on the back sides of the new faction tokens wasn't a financial one. In the case of the purple tokens, even very small (and unavoidable) differences in the logo painting could help players differentiate between the traps, which would reduce their effectiveness for the player who dropped them. Making them indistinguishable from each other was critical to gameplay. For the green tokens (and brown encounter tokens), there was no reason to print the other side, as the underneath side is always facing down on the board. Printing both sides in either case only creates twice the opportunity for a misprint (which is discarded during our own quality control process), increasing the possibility that there aren't enough "good ones" to fill all of the Kickstarter orders. Hope this helps explain why we did it this way!
Got my meeples yesterday in Pa. USA. They all are very nice, except my pirate wasn't painted so well on one side.
Got everything! The books are smaller than I'd prefer but that's no big deal. The one thing that I believe was a very odd oversight was, if you were going to spend money to include Scythe stickers, why not add some faction stickers for the other sides of the two new faction markers? I understand maybe printing both sides would have been costly, but I'd much prefer stickers on one side rather than just being blank. Seems like a missed opportunity...
