This is a mini project for FDM printers and resin printers. We love classic tabletop fantasy and war games and 3d printing. 3D printing is the future of tabletop miniature gaming, and we want that future to start now. We're bringing you a set of 13 files for 3d printed Gothic Props for your tabletop gaming in this Kickstarter. Our scenery models have been through several optimizations passes to reduce supports. Being sculpted and not procedurally modelled, supports will still be required.
Gothic Props set includes:
- Cemetery Gate
- Cemetery Fence (2 pieces)
- Hooded Statue
- Rough Wooden Coffin
- Imperial Coffin #1
- Imperial Coffin #2
- Heads on Spikes
- Bowl o' Blood (or punch, you decide)
- Pile o' Skulls
- ...plus a new ghost model not in the previous KS.

Photos of proof Prints of the Gothics Props set, shown to demonstrate printability and give you a feel for what the printed piece will look like (not included in any reward!)
Some models in this set will be more suitable for fdm, and vice versa. Our proof prints below were printed by Shapeways in fine detail plastic (which you see sprayed with grey primer) and white plastic (SLS - to keep the costs under control) Sorry we don't have a print of the ghost!
PLUS.... for resin printers: you have the chance to receive the 13 villains (Anti-Paladin reward) from our previous Kickstarter if you missed it last time. You can see all the details here:
PLUS ....for fdm printers: you have another chance to receive the Gothic Scenery (Friar reward) from our previous Kickstarter. You can see all the details here:
The tombstones included with this kickstarter are low resolution, FDM friendly versions for the tombstones from the tombstone KS below. These ones are designed as easy to print, no support required tombstones.
PLUS ....for resin printers another chance to get our previous highly detailed tombstones kickstarter (Grave Digger reward):
Legal Stuff: Because we are licensing the distribution of digital files with this Kickstarter, we need to set out some guidelines for use. In a nutshell, we want you to be able to print and paint the models freely and be able to give them away, but not to modify (except for scale and the base) or sell your 3D prints without consent from Medusa Miniatures. You also cannot resell these digital files, or derivative files. If you give your prints away, you must pass on these restrictions.
Risks and challenges
Our digital models are all complete and have successfully been proof printed in "Frosted Ultra Detail" or white plastic material through Shapeways. We recommend using high detail resin printers (SLA or DLP) on our miniatures and smaller models, whereas FDM is appropriate for larger tabletop scenery pieces. For FDM prints expect less detail, or you may want to print at larger scale. You will generate the slices and supports appropriate for your printer. Final print quality will depend on your printer and printing expertise. Models are provided as .STL and .OBJ files for your 3D printer. Enjoy the process, good luck and have fun printing and gaming!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
