Mecha Front is a table top war game and miniatures line that I have been developing over the last year. It features large scale robot models called "Mecha" that are able to be used with the rules system I have designed or they can be used alongside other 15mm scale games, such as Gruntz and Tomorrow's War. The models range between 65mm-110mm in height (2.5-4.25 inches) offering an ideal size for both game play and for painters looking for a high quality display model.
It is a unique product line in that I currently create and produce all of the models myself. I construct the original models in 3d and I do all of the resin casting of the final product. It is a very rewarding and hands on experience and I really take pride in being able to produce models that people use and enjoy. I have a passion for it and it allows me to apply my artistic ability to something I love making, which I think is the goal for every artist.
Successful funding of this project will allow me to create my next batch of Mecha Front models. Funding will be used for generating the project artwork, prototyping of the 3d models, and finally the molding and casting of the resin models. Once I have completed those steps I will be able to put the models into general production.
My goal is to fund two new versions of the NorAm Lynx medium class mecha.
Below are renders of the completed 3d models that I am seeking funding to produce. Both models measure 80mm tall and will be made from a high grade resin which is vacuum treated and pressure cast to eliminate bubbles. Models are 10-12 parts depending on the configuration and will include a round 60mm plastic base.
My previous releases have all been crowd funded by fans on Facebook and various war gaming forums like Dakka Dakka and TMP in addition to contributions from the customer base I established through my former Paulson Games website. I am very grateful for the support they've shown and that they have given me the chance to prove myself as a business capable of delivering a quality product.

I have additional photo galleries of finished products located on on my website as well as on Facebook:
Bringing this project to Kickstarter allows me to reach a larger audience and showcase the project to others that might not normally hear of my company. There is a growing market for 15mm war gaming but many of the large gaming distributors and stores are unwilling to support 15mm ranges, despite growing interests they still see it as an unproven market. I'm seeking to present my project to the Kickstarter community to connect with other gamers who share a passion for 15mm gaming and large scale robot miniatures.
Add-Ons for any pledge level
Available Micro Armor Pledge Tiers
The right hand pledge bar is a bit confusing so here is a list of the available micro armor pledge levels. While NorAm mecha are shown you may chose different mecha types as indicated by the pledge level. (With the exception of the Mini Me pledge, which is exclusively a micro armor lynx in beta configuration)
Micro Armor Add-On may be added to any pledge level.

The following items maybe be added to any pledge level of Light Mecha or higher.

Risks and challenges
As with all large projects setbacks are possible. I've done my best to assess my production abilities and calculate expected delivery times. They are based on my past business experiences and turn around times. I feel that my delivery timetable estimates will be quite accurate but even with the best of planning it may require making a few adjustments on the fly.
A few aspects are being handled by other companies such as the digital model prototyping, and the delivery of raw materials like the plastic bases or resin. Having worked with those companies in the past I do not expect delays on their end but in a worst case scenario there could be small delays if for some reason I need to locate other vendors for those items.
Stretch goals and additional items introduced after hitting the funding goal will add to the expected delivery date for the project as it increases the overall workload that I'll need to complete. The current expected delivery date is now November-December and that date may need additional modification as higher funding is reached.
If the project exceeds it's funding goal by a massive amount it may require me to outsource some of the casting work, this may require additional time to deliver on but if the need arises I do have a reliable back up caster in place.
No matter what occurs I will do my best to keep my backers up to date and informed if there are any changes to the planned schedule and how I plan to work with any unexpected difficulties.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
