About

Wanted: FACES of PTSD and supporters to be featured on PTSDFaces.org and Beyond on TV.

OVERVIEW: Each day, every day, 22 veterans commit SUICIDE and PTSD is a factor. MDTV's CEO & Executive Producer, Paul Argen has teamed up with Cherissa Jackson, a retired Captain from the United States Air Force to deliver Public Awareness and instill action via support within an online PTSD community and on The newly created PTSD Faces TV Channel, PTSDFaces.com .  The goal of their collaberation is to actively help those affected with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD,  and change lives to better cope to prevent suicide, decrease drug and alcohol dependence, financial ruins, divorce, anger and more... much more.

Veterans, Rape Victims, Disaster Victims or anybody who has experienced or been affected by trauma can share their story to help drive greater public awareness & support through any of the government, corporate workforce sites, media affiliate TV channels or directly at PTSDFaces.org Network.

MDTV Inc. is the creator of award winning content for TV Stations, Government, Associations, and Corporations. Argen, brings his network quality content coaching service, creates best in class educational TV shows and has advanced technology to create TV channels that go beyond social and mainstream media right onto the TV screens of the most relevant audience.

COLLABORATORS  Argen and Jackson plan to change the stigma of PTSD through public awareness with real stories of those people affected with PTSD not only within the PTSDFaces.org community but beyond on TV. They will produce 22 nationally syndicated PTSD FACES TV Segments (see sample here)  and create a PTSD Digital TV Channel for other relevant portals (such as VA hospitals, Government, Associations and Media sites) to air.  Paul and Cherissa have a mission together to instill action with the public, including speaking with employee groups, government, and other associations. Getting the world to understand that those affected with PTSD can lead productive and normal "working" lives is key. Most importantly, the PTSDFaces.org Team is passionate about having a dramatic affect on diminishing the suicide rate caused by PTSD and the lack of public awareness and understanding.

As a nurse in the Air Force, Cherissa Jackson saw trauma during her tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Her traumatic experiences was NOT just simply left behind after she came home. She has PTSD and has publicly came out to share her story.

On July 4 2015 in Forbes Digital Cherissa speaks out in support of veterans with PTSD.. SEE Forbes: Hiring Vets is Good Business.

Cherissa gets great personal satisfaction and is able to cope with exercise and when she helps others and supports others with public awareness of PTSD (SEE July 2015 Prevention Magazine Article on Cherissa). The goal of PTSDFaces.org is to help ALL people with PTSD and help affected family members, friends, and co-workers. Argen has set up in Jackson's name a 2 million dollar MDTV a year business plan to create PTSD Faces, a subscription based TV show and digital TV Channel that will be distributed as a TV EVERYWHERE network, through Online, on mobile, on social networking sites, integrated on corporate employee intranet sites and main stream media. Custom syndication and distribution efforts of the TV show and the Channel will be most most definite as mainstream media, corporations, and social networking bloggers have already embraced the importance of the idea. However they are reaching out to the Kickstarter community to help fund the initial $222,000 that is needed to produce the initial production of 22 segments, launch PTSDFaces.org,  the PTSDFACES.com Channel and initial distribution.

USE OF KICKSTAR FUNDS: When the Kickstarter funding objective is reached and in place, Argen and Jackson will produce 22 show segments with real life stories of individuals with PTSD as an initial series. The 22 segments will be made available for TV stations to “first run”  in the news or in a made for TV news specials. Further distribution will be on relevant media, municipality, associations, and portals in a custom PTSD Faces TV Channels for digital portals such as employers to educate their workforce.

The PTSDFaces.org community will join the cause to crowdsource real video stories,  where the subscribed PTSD member ($22 one year membership) is a FACE of PTSD  and will share their video story such as how their receive professional help as needed and in non emergency situations this PTSDFace will always have a personal support group on PTSDFaces.org of at least 22 members. These followers can also vote for the best story that may will be filmed and become part of the made for TV PTSD FACES show segments as revenue is derived (see sample segment with Cherissa Jackson here). As more and more content is developed and people get involved to better cope or support PTSD Faces, the public is more aware and all of us together will create a better world by helping those cope who FACE PTSD.

Risks and challenges

All funding from the Kickstarter campaign will be utilized to create content (22 real stories), operate the PTSD Channel with member contributed content, and distribute channels to relevant portals for the first 12 months, September 2015 through August 2016. The risk for this fulfillment is nil.

Additional revenue after initial funding: The risk of distribution to mainstream media, social media on releveant portals is low. Content is given away to the media in a barter syndication fashion, which allows TV Stations to make money on commercial insertion. Argen has a vast experience in providing content to hundreds of media outlets that trust his content.

Supporters, subscribers, and membership revenue on digital portal has a medium risk factor. Although the collaborators have experience in this area, A PTSDFaces community is brand new and has never been launched. Reliance on motivating third parties to attain critical mass on PTSDFACES.org will be accomplished by offering an incentive to help the cause and the social need of all involved to lower the suicide rate caused by PTSD. If we can save one life a day it is worth every bit the effort.

An alternate revenue stream of merchandising such as selling of T-shirts, decals, bumper stickers is of the highest risk, since this relies upon third parties for fulfillment and is a business in which Argen or Jackson will be totally rely on third parties.

It is unknown if the government or US will further support this cause via PTSDFAces.org as it seems to be a very much avoided topic.

It is the hope that sustained Public Awareness and the initial Kickstarter support will conquer the needed understanding of this serious problem for our long term success after one year and initial funding.

In order for PTSDFaces.org to be sustained beyond September of 2016 all gross profits of additional revenue after initial funding derived from September 2015 through August of 2016 via syndication, subscriptions, merchandising and the government will be allocated and utilized to create content and operate the network for that period of time.
