Kickstarter have informed us that the funding should be winging its way to us now, finally! It has yet to land in the bank account, but at least we know it will be available soon - allowing us to kick it all up a notch! If only there was a quicker way to send money around the globe...
Due to the Mid-Autumn Festival in China, our factory has gone quiet for a short period - however we have been focusing on perfecting the rings, production planning and figuring out all the logistics.
We’ve think we’ve cracked the distribution challenge and have mapped out exactly how we are going to get the rings from the factory in China to all you wonderful backers. We reached out to our network and secured the help of a very experienced company who ship products from China day in, day out - they will be helping to ensure the rings are shipped quickly and efficiently to our designated picking and packing teams, in key locations across the globe.
A Quality Assurance plan has been finalised and we’re in contact with a company that specialises in this area to carry out our stringent tests. The next step is to get all our testing tools together and shipped over to them, then schedule in their first checks once production has started. John has been busy writing software that will give us a detailed record of the checks, allowing us to keep a second set of eyes on the entire process.
We’re still working on the survey responses, collecting and collating all the data so we can get our initial order in as soon as possible. With the sheer amount of different ring sizes, metal colors and inlay cover color combinations - this has certainly been one of the most challenging aspects of the process! The reminder email to those that haven’t yet completed their surveys will be going out shortly.
