We've covered all the basics.
Now we're moving into the big leagues.
This is a once and a lifetime opportunity for our community to create a real TV series from the ground up. Brett Forbes, producer of "The Collector" and dozens of professional feature and short films, has officially agreed to produce our project in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
We're talking professional actors, makeup artists, camera crews, and monstrous special effects.
Our initial goal was sufficient to do a clean, basic short film, but we now have sufficient connections to get our project in front of major TV networks and distributors.
We've only got one shot at this, so let's make it count. Let's do it once and do it right.
Aiming for a 15k budget, we will be able to produce a professional pitch that will open our entire community up to the world. Once the first episode has been picked up, our goal is to keep producing weekly episodes indefinitely. We have unlimited talent, unlimited stories, and an unlimited passion to create an unheard of opportunity for every Nosleep writer.
It doesn't matter who you are, or where you are, or who you know. If you can write horror, you deserve a chance to terrify the world.
Just like our monsters, once the show gets started, it will never die.
THE MONSTER FILM PROJECT
Tobias Wade and The Team at Haunted House Publishing LLC are pleased to announce our newest anthology!
MONSTRONOMICON is a collection of 100 horror stories from around the world. These aren't your everyday Werewolves and Wendigos either. Each story is told by the survivor of an encounter with a unique and mysterious creature more wild and varied than you can imagine. From the twisted minds of 70 authors including Amazon Best Sellers: Tobias Wade, Blair Daniels, Tara Devlin, and P.F. McGrail. As well as numerous Reddit NoSleep award winners.
This is our largest collection to date!
But, here’s where it gets interesting...
This Kickstarter campaign is designed to help raise funds that will go towards creating the first episode, professionally produced by Brett Forbes who made "The Collector" and dozens of other feature and short films.
Additionally, royalties from the book’s sales will go directly towards funding the first episode. This will be pitched to large production companies in an effort to launch a horror inspired anthology TV series. The more money raised - the better, our shot of turning this into a real TV series distributed by a major network.
Risks and challenges
Although our end goal is to have a horror TV show, we understand that nothing is guaranteed. We believe that this is our best shot, and with your help we will be able to create an amazing sizzle reel that will leave a lasting impression on every viewer. Our dream is to help create visual media that the online horror community can proudly call their own.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
