We just finished our shows, and I ran up here to write to you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Spoon River was a huge success and it is thanks to you. I cannot express the gratitude enough for each of you parting with your hard earned dollars to make this happen. If I could personally come to your house right now and give you a hug, I would. Here are a few highlights
- 4 weeks of rehearsal. (8 total rehearsal per cast member) 20 cast members, 40 monologues, 3 songs, 5 instruments.
- Students music directing themselves
- Over 270 people attended
- On coming up to my office, I was told the show was "really moving and thought provoking".
- A cast member said "Thank you for introducing me to this family".
I could go on and on about the little moments (like the boys doing their makeup) that made this such a fun and exciting experience. But most of all, it was about providing an opportunity, a platform, for 20 artists to tell stories. I talked with the cast before we open and explained that even if only 30 people came, it was a success because we got to be creative for our Creator. What an honor and privilege. Thank you for helping be a part of that. Below are a few blurry pics from our show. Your names were brought to the attention of the audience. They know it was because of YOU this happened. Thank you, Lindsey
