It's Rachael Davis, May Erlewine and Lindsay Lou, your Michigan/Nashvillian songbirds. We have combined our creative energies to bring you our new project, the Sweet Water Warblers!
We're a trio of Michigan bred musicians that have spent decades between us cultivating our own musical careers and styles. We are brought together now, by mutual respect and admiration of each other's talents and gifts, to bring you our favorite brand of original and traditional music sung in sweetest harmony!
The genesis of the Sweet Water Warblers happened upon a festival organizer’s request in 2014 at the Hoxeyville Music Festival in Northern Michigan. We were all coming from different locations and only had about 30 minutes to rehearse before our main stage set! Luckily we all travel in the same musical circles, so it was just a matter of deciding which tunes to play at first. Once we took the stage and hit the last chord of the first song, it was clear to everyone present that this was the beginning of something.
After a couple years of touring, writing and releasing records independently, we're reuniting in Nashville to record together for the first time in May. We have selected six very special songs to release this summer and we are so excited to get ourselves into the studio! Dates are set, plans are made and we cannot wait to hit record!
That's where you come in! We'd love to get these songs out into the world. Pre-order the EP and be a part of making a record. A record of this musical event in time. It'll be fun!
