Here We Are.
Last time we met here, I was working on the album, Mother Lion.
It's been such an emotional journey sharing that record and those songs with all of you and watching the way your hearts embraced the album.
Since then, I have been diligently working to create more music, to write more songs, and to continue to dig deeply.
This is my life’s work and it is my joy to do it.
I have poured the dollars from my album sales into making new art and into the writing, arranging and recording of new songs. Every dollar that came in has gone back into making more art, to paying independent artists and musicians to do their good work, and to lend their talents to my songs.
I have written these songs for you and for these times we are in now. It is my hope that your hearts (as with mine) have been waiting for these songs and that our ears will show us the way.
As I have tried to process and embrace what is happening in the world around me, I have had to see beyond the moment, to trust my intuition, and to allow a second-sight to lead my own heart forward. Our vision and truth are a beacon of light within us. We need it now more than ever.
I want to share this music with you. It's taken three attempts to find the “feels” and the right way to record these songs. It's not all been easy, but it has been a beautiful road up to this point.
The album features three co-writes with the one and only Tyler Duncan. The band consists of Tyler Duncan on piano and keys, Michael Shimmin on drums and percussion, Laurel Premo on electric guitar, Dominic Davis on bass, Eric Kuhn on guitar, James Cornelison on guitar, Drew Howard on pedal steel, string arrangements by Brad Phillips, background vocals by Graham Parsons, Laurel Premo, Rachael Davis and Lindsay Lou. Recorded by Tyler Duncan and mixed by Jake Birch.
I want to invite you to financially support the creation of this music. Your dollars will go to mixing the songs, mastering the album, printing the album, and promoting the record. All of the people working on this are independent artists living and creating good in their communities. I am so proud to tell you that any and every cent that goes into this art will go directly to a person doing their work. Any and every cent will support these songs reaching your ears and hearts.
It takes intentional support these days to make this kind of music. If you are reading this, you get that. Even if you don't have the resources or desire to financially support this project, thank you for reading this and for caring about this art. Spreading the word and supporting the artists we love is one of the most helpful things we can do.
Thanks for your continued support. Thanks for your beautiful, beating heart.

Risks and challenges
It is a risk to create independent art. There is no insurance when things go haywire. I am hopeful I can raise the funds to finish this piece of art. As it is nearing the finish line, I don't fear it's completion artistically, but financial support is crucial to get these songs to you.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
