Secrets of the Apple took four years to write, and I have already invested in professional editing and a beautiful cover by Kevin Keele. The advance response to the manuscript has been wonderful, but none of that helps unless I can get it printed and out in front of people. So, I am coming to the Kickstarter community in hopes that I will be able to bring my project to a larger audience.
As I was studying Japanese culture, Ryoki Tanaka began to mature in my mind, handsome, arrogant, and a Master of the Sandwich, eating his own heart in the viscid darkness of his life. Then Kate began knocking on my skull, tripping in her heels and speaking a little elvish, and I knew right away she’d booby trap his chair. Together they travel from San Francisco to São Paulo, Brazil where they gradually come to understand the true cost of paradise.
In Kirkus Magazine Lisa Monroe called Secrets of the Apple “a captivating love story,” but it’s also a journey of discovery that I’m hoping will stick with readers long after they turn the final page.
Thank you for your support!
Born in Rexburg, Idaho, I have also lived in various parts of the United States, as well as Brazil and I am currently living in China. I hold a master’s degree in English from Brigham Young University, and when I’m not writing, I am reading, traveling, or attending board game conventions with my husband and three children. Secrets of the Apple is my first novel.
