Got my copy in the post yesterday, and played it with the kids (5 1/2 and 8) today, and we enjoyed it. The box was slightly crushed in the mail, unfortunately, so it's definitely not in mint condition any more :-(
A bummer about the limited edition stickers, that would have been nice to have. I hope you can sort them out and send them out separately later.
Fair enough. However, when I pay for a thing, I expect the thing I paid for - in its entirety.
And that's the rub, you don't get the KS promos and additions in the retail version. And if stretch goals don't get hit, nobody gets better card quality and other improvements.
Hey Venron, you're right.
I could have purchased retail for content. Instead - as I like exclusivity - I backed here.
I do happen to find that important.
Yeah, as others have said, how do we get refunds for not having the sticker? I put up with it for Nerdy Inventions, but since it comes down to "tough luck" for not getting something that was essentially the main perk for backing on KS, I'd like to get my money back.
Having backed many previous Mayday projects, I can personally say that the stickers are interesting to have, but definitely not a deal breaker. I would expect these to cost less than a penny each to print in China, and I haven't put any on my games because they would deface my game box. The important promo packs and additions are a much better reason to get the KS version. But I guess some people think bragging rights are more important than content.
I understand emergencies but I would've liked to have known about the possibility the stickers wouldn't be on the box.
I backed because of that exclusivity.
I am also very disappointed about the LE stickers being misplaced. Being backer #6 I was excited to have such a high numbered copy.
Are refunds available due to no longer offering the LE stickers?
I think I speak for many when I say they could have been a significant influence in the decision to back now vs. wait until it comes to retail. The campaign page would tend to agree with me I think, taking up the #1 bullet point for why to back, and getting a large section expanding on them. The sudden loss of them is significant.
