About this project
Last UPDATE before it ends! Any existing backers can add a 2nd copy of the game for $15 and no extra shipping charge. If the project goes over $13,000 we will give all those extra $15 copies free sleeves at no charge, if it goes over $14,000 we will give free sharkspansions with all extra $15 copies too! Last chance for some free stuff, and only 18 hours to go!
$10,000 goal met: Free "Sticker Faces" for your robots to EVERY COPY FOR EVERYONE!
Every order will now come with a set of 14 "sticker faces" that you can peal off and attach to the heads of your robots to customize them for their overall attitudes, or that of the players playing them. These will be on clear plastic stickers so they will look pretty nice on the robots!
UPDATE: SPECIAL Bonus #3 For Kickstarter: FREE extra copy of our special PINK robot and Pink player cards for all reward levels at $30 and over! Yes if you have a reward of $50 for 3 copies of the game you will then get 3 sets of pink robots too!
Bonus Player set of cards and robot/swimmer in PINK! Yes that is right, the game comes with 6 player colors but we will include a separate bonus PINK robot with a full set of pink cards for this player! Do you have a daughter/wife who would love to play? Make her the queen of the party by breaking out a special PINK robot and action cards that are ONLY available on Kickstarter! You can also purchase these separately by adding $4 to your current pledge if you'd prefer. Just go to "Manage my Pledge" and increase the value of your pledge but NOT the reward selected. When we see the extra $3 on there we will know it is for the Pink Expansion!
Please note this does NOT mean you can pledge $27 and then add 2 packs of sleeves for $4 to get to $31 to get the Pink Expansion. Your pledge may be over $30 but your REWARD is not in that case. Your base reward must be $30 or higher for the free pink expansion.
THIS BONUS DOES NOT APPLY to the STORE orders at the $120 and above levels as this pink robot is NOT for resale to stores!
Check it out and see why Tom Vasel of The Dice Tower ranks it in his top 75 games of ALL TIME.
Mayday Games is very happy to bring this amazingly fun game to the masses. It was available only for a short time on one website and never available in stores. It took us a long time to get this back into production but we loved the game so much we just had to!
" A silly, yet absolutely fun filler. Great for six players in only fifteen minutes." -Tom Vasel
This game was released in 2007 by Robot Martini and was only ever sold directly on their site. We approached Dave Chalker and begged to let us recreate this great game and of course put our own spin on it. The original game did NOT include a shark but rather a card to represent a shark. There were some errors on the cards and the graphics looked a bit faded. We have fixed all that and have even put a shark in the game.. so every copy of the game here on Kickstarter will get a great shark with it!
So what is Get Bit? It is a very fun/easy game you can play for up to 6 players. How many 15 minute games can you find that let you play 6 players? Each player has a set of 7 cards. Each player puts a card face down and then they are all revealed. Any player who has the same card showing as another player stays where they are, and each player with a unique card showing moves to the front of the line, with the highest card going to the very front and the lowest going to the back of the line, though still ahead of anyone who played the same card as another player. The player at the back of the line GETS BIT, loses a limb and goes to the front of the line and gets all of their cards back. Players keep playing this way with players getting their cards back when they get bit, or when they get down to 2 cards.
The game end when only 2 players with some limbs are left. The player at the front of the line on the turn when the 3rd player is eliminated is the winner, so not only do you not want to get bit and have to figure out what cards each player has left, you want to get bit the turn BEFORE the last turn so you can be in the front of the line! This is a fun, silly game with lots of strategy, possable figures and a fun shark! Get the Get Bit! bug and help us bring family fun back to the masses!
The artwork is great on this and the possibilities for fun are unlimited!
BONUS #1: We have 24 copies of Get Bit individual numbered from 1-24 and signed by Dave Chalker, the game designer up.
Bonus #2: We also have a new Sharkspansion available as a bonus! The Sharkspansion allows for a 7th player to play as the shark! This has been in the works with Dave for years and is ONLY through Kickstarter! Includes 6 all new recently designed cards and 6 hunger tokens. Not available for purchase anywhere else!
Check update #2 for the rules to the Sharkspansion. Here are some pictures of the cards that come with the Sharkpansion:
Get in on these bonuses now!
Yes the Mac The Knife (designer signature) level it is $30, not $25. It was a typo but as soon as we put it up we had several people jump on it, so we can't edit it now. It is $30 and it should read as $30. Sorry about that!
You can play with 8 players if you want and it is OK, but it isn't recommended. The sharkspansion will have 6 hunger tokens in it since it is intended as a 7 player game maximum (6 players + shark). The Pink expansion is intended as a replacement to one of the other colors but you could certainly use it to do 8 players if you wanted. We just haven't tested it and as you said there is no #8 cards.
If you add the $15 for another copy of the game, does it go over the $30 limit and get you the pink robot/cards as well?
No, your reward has to be over $30 for it to get the free pink/robot expansion. You can'd add the bonus $15 game to get to the $30 limit and then get the pink expansion too.
Your pledge would be $30+ but your REWARD selection would not. Base rewards of $30+ are the only ones that qualify for the pink expansion for free. Thanks for asking!
Why no, not it isn't! This shark has no lego functionality on the bottom of it and is hollow underneath so you can put the eaten limbs under the shark for extra fun in the game. It is NOT a lego shark and has nothing to do with Lego. We do not advertise as a lego item and don't compete with Lego products. Just so we are clear.. we are NOT LEGO. Any questions?
