Welcome to AssassinCon, the one time each year when all the cloaks and daggers gather to attend seminars on practical invisibility, and to browse the latest in ninja hoods. But the real action is in the games, sneaking silently through the shadowed corridors. Pursue as you are pursued; Knock Out your opponents one after another, round by round before they can Knock Out you. In this game, skill and strategy mean the difference between success and a truly heinous headache. Good Luck! and may the best Assassin win.
Backers are limited to ONE additional copy of Assassincon for $26.00.
In AssassinCon you play as an Assassin at a convention participating in a contest to prove your prowess. AssassinCon is played over rounds, and each round you are assigned a new Identity and a new Target to Pursue, but you have no idea who is out to get you. You score points by Knocking Out your Target or Calling Guards on your Pursuer. The first player with five points wins the game.
This game by Binh Vo was originally on the GameCrafter's website before being entered into the prestigious ION AWARD board game design competition at SaltCon, a board game convention. It was a finalist in the competition and when we played it we immediately knew we wanted to publish it... it is that good!
Assassin Pawns- These tokens represent each player on the board.
Plastic Pawn Stands (UNLOCKED AT 12K!!)- These plastic stands are used to hold the pawns upright.
Movement Cards- These cards are used to move Assassin Pawns to another location on the board. Each color has four cards each of “A,” “B,” and “C.”
Target Cards- Each Assassin Pawn has a target card associated with it. These should be included with the similarly colored deck.
Status Cards (IF UNLOCKED)- These cards are used to clearly define the Target of each Assassin. When an Assassin is Eliminated, that player flips the status card to the reverse “Eliminated!” side.
Point Tokens- These two-sided tokens track the score. The first player to acquire five tokens wins.
Lead Assassin Card (IF UNLOCKED)- This card determines which player is the “Lead Assassin.” They collect and reveal movement cards. They also resolve order of Eliminations. This card passes clockwise after each round.

The game had only be out for a short time when we acquired the rights to it, and we beat out several other companies too, WOOT! It is a VERY SOLID game, check out these reviews/comments:
"INSANELY GREAT GAME! I played several rounds with a group of 4 and a group of 3. The game is wonderfully balanced and just great. You get to hunt and murder the person next to you. They know you're hunting them, but they don't know who you are. And since all the meeples move every turn. you never know who is hunting you. The thrill of knowing your being cornered and figuring out a clever escape path, only to move into the room with your actually killer. This game will be with me every time I am heading to a board game meet up. Sincerely one of the best games TGC games I have ever played." -Matthew (Broken Prism Games) as seen HERE.

So let's face it, we have had a lot of previous KS projects and all of the games have been successful. In fact, we've never had an unsuccessful game on Kickstarter. You'd think by now that we would be "set" and not need to do such a project any more, right? Well, not so much. While Mayday has been successful, we are still very small. In fact we are just a few employees. We are a very small game company and all of our cash is tied up in other projects. In fact if you look at our history we introduced just 3 new games in 2010 and 2011 before Kickstarter.
Since KS we have had nearly 20 new games, but that is ALL thanks to backers like you. By doing the KS program we are able to gauge interest and get the game made in much larger quantities and with cheaper prices to our customers. This is a large part of why we can offer our last few KS projects at such a low price point. With this much stuff in the game and such a small company, this would only be possible with the support of the KS community.
Did you score the game for ONE DOLLAR?!
Risks and challenges
This project doesn't have any risks to speak of if we meet our goal. The factory is ready to publish and the art and layout has been completed. Any additionally needed changes should be completed prior to the end of the campaign. We have launched and distributed more than 20 prior Kickstarter Projects. .
Anyone missing anything at all from any prior project please send us a message here on Kickstarter and we will get you replacements sent immediately. We have had over 15,000 backers so we expect a few of you may have slipped through the cracks. Thanks again for all of the support!
We have just one partially undelivered KS projects at present, Viceroy, which ended in December 2013 and is a few months behind schedule. We expect all of the rewards will be delivered by August, even worldwide.
We have just recently delivered on Meteor, Hold Your Breath, Dead Man's Draw, Coconuts Duo and Chopstick Dexterity Mega Challenge 3000, all of which were late. We purposely delayed this project to be sure all these other outstanding projects were delivered.
We have had 20 Kickstarter projects complete and note that all but Viceeroy are totally fulfilled and we will strive to get this project completed and all rewards to backers in a timely manner. Due to the last several projects being late, we are putting extra time into our forecast for delivery to ensure this project will NOT be delayed beyond the estimated delivery date.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
