New Scottish historical story hits Kickstarter soon
This year we're jumping from medieval times to the twentieth century with a brand new Scottish historical comic set during World War Two.
Coming soon to Kickstarter, this is the true story of the first air raid of World War Two. It happened within sight of my house here in Scotland, eighty years ago, right at the start of the war.
A dozen bombers crossed the North Sea from Germany seeking to destroy HMS Hood, flagship of the Royal Navy. However, the experienced Luftwaffe pilots had no idea that the part-time pilots of the Auxiliary Air Force were waiting with their brand new Supermarine Spitfires.
This is a story I've been itching to tell since I first heard about it five years ago. It's almost become a bit of forgotten history, and many locals don't even know it took place, so I'm hoping this new comic will at least bring the story to the attention of a few more people.
I hope to have it on Kickstarter within the next week. About half of the artwork has been completed, so the comic should be ready by August when I'll be launching it at the Defend Dunfermline World War Two festival.
all the best,
