LIFE SUPPORT is a science fiction anthology comic featuring the work of established and new comic creators. All the writers and artists have donated stories and artwork for the comic book. The book will be sold to raise funds for the Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) charity.
We need your help to cover the printing costs of the comic so that we can maximize the funds raised for charity.
The comic will feature at least 3 scifi stories, as well as scifi artwork donated by several comic book artists. Samples of the stories can be found below. The final book will be in English, and around 24-32 pages in length, and a mixture of monochrome and full color art. Contributors to the comic include Ian Kennedy (Commando, Dan Dare, 2000AD, Battle Picture Weekly) and Stephen White (Beano, Viz, Oor Wullie, The Broons).
For over twenty years CHAS has been offering a full family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. This includes palliative care, family respite and support – through hospices, homecare services and hospital presence.
The comics will be sold at Capital SciFi Con in Edinburgh and their fundraising events. Capital SciFi Con is an annual science fiction convention held in Edinburgh that raises funds for CHAS.
