What is ElectroMagnetic?
Queen Victoria is dead. Britain is at war with steam-powered India. British Forces are fighting a losing battle on the Indian subcontinent. Fear rules the streets of London as terrorists attack with increasing ferocity.
ElectroMagnetic, the Steampunk comic series continues. As war escalates between Britain and steam-powered India, hopes are pinned on Professor Maxwell's new electric weapon. Will the Empire face Armageddon, or will it all be over by Christmas?
Continuing the story from where we left off in Episode 1, this new issue features a cover by comic legend Ian Kennedy (Commando, Eagle, 2000AD, etc), story by Colin Maxwell and interior art by Dan Sant. Artist John Grieve provides the illustration for this episode's 'Science Lesson' story.
Praise for episode 1
"For all the fun and fantastical steampunk adventuring, it's also not shying away from the issues of that time in women's suffrage, colonialism, the politics and the poverty" - Emma Beeby (Judge Dredd, Doctor Who)
"I enjoyed it. Really well executed" - Monty Nero (X-Men, The Hulk, 2000AD)
"If you love gadgets, espionage and rip roaring adventure, this is for you" - Little Shop of Heroes
Funds raised from Kickstarter will pay for the artwork and design of the comic and the rewards. Making and printing comics isn't a cheap business. At Maximized Comics we value our artists and ensure they receive fair payment for what they do. Your pledges help put food on their table and roofs over their heads. In return you receive a splendid set of rewards and a brand new comic.
For continuing backers we have Episode 2 in the series, in both digital (PDF) or printed format. Episode 2 is a 40 page book which takes the ongoing story right up to the action in India.
If you're new to ElectroMagnetic, then you can choose a digital or physical catchup reward to get you right up to date with the story.

Risks and challenges
We have run 4 successful Kickstarters in the past and do not expect to run into any production problems with our current comic. The writing and around half of the artwork is complete, so we are well on the road towards achieving our goal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
