This project is the culmination of 2 years of work on writing and recording songs written over the same period which were inspired by the trials and tribulations of the journey beyond my Checkered past into a new marriage, new job, and changing family landscape.
I have a day job like most musicians and though I once recorded, performed and toured daily, I am now limited to 1 night per week (and some weekend time) for such creative pursuits (boo-hoo, insert smallest violin playing). So every Wednesday night, I go to my Think Tank studio and bang out some thoughts - sometimes with the help of friends, but most of the time it is a solitary act. In concept and process, it is somewhere between Sheryl Crow's Tuesday Night Music Club and Emmit Rhodes' home recordings.
These recordings are mostly finished, but lie dormant on a hard drive in need of mixing & mastering. I am looking to fund these final steps in order to finish this album, to distribute online, and on CD and vinyl! Help save the album format as an art form.
I want to share the words, melodies, and mistakes I have made over these many months in hopes that the songs find their way to ears that will listen, enjoy and relate to the mistakes we make and how we live with them.
