We're funding a new digital version and a limited run of books.
This year, Christmas can be different.
It is hard for us families to remain centered during the busyness of the Christmas season. For children, it is all the more difficult. Retailers launch their ad campaigns, holiday movies talk incessantly about Santa and gifts, and friends talk about the stuff they want to find under the tree.
Sink or swim--I'll need your help
Help me show as many families as possible that the Christmas season doesn't have to be busy, chaotic, self-focused, or materialistic. Instead, families in this season can be filled with joy, anticipation, and celebration.
Alongside experts and practitioners in child development and faith, we set out to create a book to empower families to reclaim tradition and to recapture anticipation during the Christmas season by following a series of family experiences and spiritual prompts throughout each day of Advent. The Advent Book was carefully designed to help families not only celebrate Christmas but make sense of the story that leads up to the celebration. Last year, this resource was distributed to over 20,000 families all over the world. Now we're ready to make this a printed guide for families to enjoy.
This project would only be an idea without the team who backed the vision and worked to create The Advent Book: Noel Guevara, Amy Dolan, Jeremy Barnes, Courtney Wilson, Jesse Smith, Wayne Stocks, Dave Gwynne, Erin Gwynne, Chris Hennessey, Greg Vanderleeuw, Steven Knight, and Henry Zonio.
Risks and challenges
I'm uniquely positioned to complete this project for 3 reasons:
1) The content is complete and ready to go
2) I've worked with this printer on multiple occasions
3) If setbacks arise, I will deal with them transparently (so you know what's going on) and energetically (so things get done)
I know we will deliver books to you before Advent begins.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
