      you know what would be a great stretch goal? steam workshop integration! it would fit in perfectly with this game!

    8. Creator Steven Corriea on June 19, 2012

      That's awesome news. Steam is a solid platform for gaming and distribution. I've been using it since the beginning and I've never had an issue with it. As for DRM it applies only to games where the developer includes it, Ubisoft for an example.

    9. Creator Maxence Leret d'Aubigny on June 19, 2012

      That's great news guys! Keep the amazing work up!!!!!

    11. Creator Nathaniel Lakota on June 18, 2012

      Oh my glob you guys! You made it! And you got Steam? Awesomeness right here.

    12. Creator Silvernis on June 18, 2012

      Steam is good because (like Tom said) you quickly gain big exposure to a big potential customer base. More to the point, ZPG is going to be online to begin with -- if your connection is flaky, you're unfortunately going to be at a disadvantage even without Steam. Also, Steam is NOT "must always be connected" DRM. Provided you can connect for a game's initial start-up, you should be able to keep playing even if you lose the Steam connection.

    13. Creator Other Tom on June 18, 2012

      Instead of doing slow word of mouth, paying for adverts on t.v., you can just immediately get millions of hits on steam who are all gamers. On DRM yeah that is pretty horrible even with their offline mode being buggy. Most people are going to play this game online with other people.

    14. Creator Massive Black Inc on June 18, 2012

      @Andy Bates
      The main elements of this game will be online, but we're discussing the possibility of an offline mode (which is actually pretty standard for Steam games). When we know for sure, we'll make an announcement. Thanks Andy!

    15. Creator Veav on June 18, 2012

      @Andy Not all games require that - plenty of Steam games work in offline mode. Dunno which model ZPG will follow but it's not a given.

    16. Creator Andy Bates on June 18, 2012

      Why is releasing the game via Steam a good thing? The 'must always be connected to the internet to play' DRM is a pain especially if your internet connection is flaky (thank you Cox Communications). What am I missing?

    17. Creator Chad on June 18, 2012

      If you can get said hat in tf2 it would increase sales!
