More Character Dev Art, New Reward Tiers/Perks, & Animation

Today we'd like to introduce you to a couple more of the classes in the Zombie Playground universe:  a hand to hand combat master, the "Brawler," and a casting, mage class, the "Bookworm".  Again, this is early work and is all subject to change.  We know these characters are in the higher tiered milestones, but are refusing to give up hope they can be reached.  We can dream right?

New Reward Tiers/Perks!!

It's clear to us that the community wants the glow-in-the-dark gear to be offered at lower tiers. While we are unable to adjust an already backed reward, we think we have a cool solution, and then some.  Time to get some friends together and pool resources.

Tier $55:   Receive Kickstarter Exclusive in-game, glow in the dark Goggles. You will also get all previous rewards. In-game items associated with and below this tier are also included in the free, reward copies of the game.

Tier $65:  Receive a Kickstarter Exclusive in-game, glow in the dark Hockey Mask. You will also get all previous rewards. In-game items associated with and below this tier are also included in the free, reward copies of the game (sans "Sunny" the lantern toting in-game pet).

Tier $70:  Receive a Kickstarter Exclusive in-game, glow in the dark Gas Mask. You will also get all previous rewards. In-game items associated with and below this tier are also included in the free, reward copies of the game (sans "Sunny" the lantern toting in-game pet)..

Tier $200:  At the $200 tier we now offer Closed Alpha access included with all additional reward copies of the game.  That means all your free, reward copies of the game also include a code to access the Closed Alpha.  Second, all reward copies of the game will also include the in-game items associated with this reward tier and below.  That means all your reward copies of the game will each come with a code to access the Kickstarter exclusive in-game items that are rewarded at and below this tier, including the glow in the dark t-shirt and glow in the dark shoes.  Closed Alpha participants will also receive a boost when the game launches.

Tier $300:  All reward copies of the game at this tier will also include the in-game items associated with and below this tier. That means all your reward copies of the game will each come with a code to access the Kickstarter exlcusive in-game items that are rewarded at and below this tier.

Tier $400:  All reward copies of the game at this tier will also include the in-game items associated with and below this tier. That means all your reward copies of the game will each come with a code to access the Kickstarter exlcusive in-game items that are rewarded at and below this tier.

We hope this helps a bit, we tried to think of a creative solution.  Combining resources with your mates should make this possible.

      @LifesContradict
      Don't worry, the glow in the dark stuff will look awesome, even mismatched. We hate it when games like WoW make mismatched gear look awful (patchwork), so not to worry. There will also be more glow in the dark gear that is not exclusive to Kickstarter to mix and match. =))

      I apologize for not seeing the new tier features. Mainly, i mean that each free copy of the game from the buyers tier also receives the tier items. So i guess suggesting a survey list is kinda ridiculous when some people (like myself) won't even know who they are giving the game to, and it would be up to the buyer as to what items they get when funding is (hopefully) successful. I apologize again for misreading the update. As much as it hurts, i now promise you at least $400 of mine for such a stupid comment before, for not completely reading. Was only trying to help make a suggestion :( I really hope this project succeeds!!!! And forgive me (i read everything this time) how many copies of the game do we get if we do the $500? I'm getting 1 paid, and 3 free from the $45 tier?

      I might upgrade to $200 for the closed alpha. I've been in the $100 tier for a while, like, before i got even more free **** lol. Maybe i'll go to $300 But not before expressing 1 concern about my donation, which i feel some other people might be a little hurt over too. I'll look like a mismatch of glow in the dark without options.

      My only problem is how awkward it will look to be wearing a glow in the dark shirt and shoes and backpack (that i assume have the ks emblem on them?) If i might make a suggestion, you should offer 1 limited edition ks glow in the dark item out of a list (via survey at the end) instead of a predetermined one, starting at the $150 tier. I mean, wouldn't more people donate [more $] knowing they had a choice if they couldn't afford, say, the glow in the dark weapons at $400, even if that's all they really wanted?

      As much as i'd love to go throwing $500 in for a whole set of glow in the dark items (and the other bonuses), i simply don't have the funds. But I wish i could choose what i get depending on how much i donate so i don't look like i got dressed in the dark. I realllllllyyy wanna donate $500, but I'm not made of that much disposable income. :) So i (and I'm sure other people) don't want to look like a mismatch of things if they COULD avoid it.

      The new artwork continues to be awesome. However, the clock is ticking and we need to get you funded. Time to really get the word out. I would recommend submitting press releases/story opportunity emails to the following cool blogs. (I am not associated with any of them, they are just excellent blogs where you would fit in.)

      could we get some images that show the glowing items so we know what we get for upgrading to one of those tiers? if there are images of them already then please post a link to them. thank you in advance.

    9. Brad Michinau on June 12, 2012

      Love the new tiers! Just need to decide which tier to upgrade to. Decisions, decisions. PS: "Kamehameha" So awesome!!!

    10. Massive Black Inc 2-time creator on June 12, 2012

      @Veav
      There will be plenty of cool pets and items that aren't glow in the dark, so not to worry there either.

    11. Massive Black Inc 2-time creator on June 12, 2012

      @Veav
      Don't worry, it's more of an aesthetic difference than an "i win" item. It may help slightly, but certainly won't be a game breaker, we'll make sure of it. (There are flashlights in the game too)

    12. Veav on June 12, 2012

      Is there going to be an option to have this stuff NOT glow in the dark? And can we get the dog WITHOUT the lantern? I don't yet grasp what role light plays in the game, but I don't want to pay-to-win here, even inadvertently. :P

    13. Massive Black Inc 2-time creator on June 12, 2012

      @Scott Bono
      That's right Scott, it includes both, as well as the Goggles!

      I love the Book Worm Character - she's got such cool moves!

    15. Scott Bono on June 12, 2012

      So does the $75 reward now include the hockey mask and gas mask or is it limited to items below the $60 tier?
