Shipping, Martian App and Watch Function Updates
First off, thanks to the many of you who have received your watch and written nice remarks on this KS Martian site. Reading these is quite rewarding and we hope your positive responses help Backers who have not received theirs to feel the wait will definitely be worth it. We’re working hard to get only the best quality product to everyone.
Shipping Update for All Watches
We have now completed Early Bird G2G and Passport shipping. We are continuing to ship non-Early Bird Passport and G2G watches as they arrive, but anticipate that most will ship in mid-March with completion of shipping by March 20.
For Victory models, we remain unfortunately late for all orders, though non-Early Bird orders remain somewhat in line with the 4-6 week delay beyond February announced in the January 25th update. We currently expect to ship all Victories by April 20, with Early Birds shipping first. Although we hope you Victory backers will want to hold on a bit longer, if you prefer not to wait you may change your order to a Passport or G2G for earlier shipping, or we will of course provide a refund if desired. Please contact us through http://martianwatches.com/contact-us/ and note if either is requested and we will do so. Please make sure to include your Kickstarter name and category in which you pledged.
The stainless steel watch bands are still on backorder, so we are shipping watches without them and will send the bands separately later. We do believe they are worth the wait – we took some photos and think they look pretty sharp!
If you have a multi-watch order that includes Victory, we will not hold your order for them – we will ship what we have in stock, and send the Victorys separately when they arrive.
Android and iOS App Updates
We will be releasing an update to our Android app in the coming days. For those of you patiently waiting for the iOS app, we are having good progress with Apple and expect to post the app by the end of March.
We enjoy getting your many good suggestions. One such item was “vibration control” and we’re pleased to say that, in the near future, users will be able to turn vibration on and off as needed via their app. The Android App will include this in the coming release and iOS when released. In addition, after our first firmware upgrade, estimated to be in April or May, users will be able to vary the strength of the vibration to off, low, medium and high to suit their preferences. More features will be announced soon.
Thanks to everyone for your patience and valuable feedback.
