Any news with my dust on display problem ? Do we have a fix , ?
On a side note, after upgrade the firmware, the version cannot be found under settings->bluetooth->martian watch. I did not find it in the iOS app either.
I managed to update my martian watch on my mac book 10.8.4. The instructions work seamless compared to the windows instructions I struggled with. On my windows laptop, I noticed the driver I installed was detected as a bluetooth device but later was undetected again with yellow exclamation mark which explains why I try several times with my windows laptop, it failed again and again.
for people who reset everything but failed to connect the watch through bluetooth, just plug the usb cable to macbook / laptop and click the first button on the left, it will show 0000 and it allows u to pair the watch again. These are my findings after playing around with my martian watch.

Hi, my watch won't connect with my phone anymore unless I reset everything everytime I want to connect. Please help me.
I had to pay more than $130 to the belgian post (taxes, fees and penalty for wrong value declaration).
It's more that the value of one watch. Not very happy about that. So why did you use normal post delivery (instead of a classic delivery company) and why don't you indicate the real value of the marchandise ?
Now i'm waiting for my watches to leave the customs office ... (couple weeks more to wait)

All good, it was the iOS default email account stuffing it. It was stuffing up other apps and not sending and receiving emails properly. No idea what happened but all fix now

I'm having a small issue with my watch and the way it receives emails. I'm assuming that the watch will initiate email retrieval rather than using the built in PUSH notifications?
Either way, when a new email arrives and i get notified by my martian watch, the screen displaying the name of the person who sent it. THe issue arises when it ONLY hows the same name no matter who the email is from and to make it even more weird, that email was sent 7 years ago... umm.. why is it doing this? any ideas?

Hi Pamela and Vladimk I also have dust on the display panel , I can't shake it out or move it , it is a shame and unfortunately does affect how the watch looks I have the Blk/Blk victory.

I have quit a bit of dust particles and hair amassed under the cover glass of my white Passport. It is very visible over the LED display. How can I get rid of it? Please advise.
Hi. To check the Martian firmware version, for Android it will show the version when you open the Martian app. For iOS, you go to settings, and scroll down to Martian, tap on it and it will show you the software and firmware version. The tap glass option was fine tuned in the 1.47 version.
Got mine now a couple of days. Brilliant!!!! Audio is remarkable good and battery live excellent.
Will do the firmware upgrade soon as I am curious about the tap the glass option to repeat messages.

@Martian - Yeh, i was referring to other notifications other than the standard/built in apple notifications. And i figured it was an issue of restricted API. No probs, i guess when pigs fly and when hell freezes over maybe then Apple may loosen up their anal retentive bums and be less restrictive. Thanks guys

When you say your notifications are not working, do you mean the text notifications or the notifications from the iOS app (email, Facebook, and Twitter)?
At this point, on the iOS devices, our app supports Facebook, Twitter, Calender event, Reminder, and the email. Whatsapp and other app notifications are not supported at this point because iOS does not allow us to directly communicate with the other apps, unless we have the API. However, on the Android side, any notification works.

Just received my watch and have been playing around with it for about an hour. I tested out the speaker phone while on a call, pretty cool and its quite clear. There are some reviews on YouTube saying voice calls are no clear, but i believe that its due to high ambient noise which almost all speaker phones and hardware alike will suffer from.
I've updated my Martian watch, took me some time to figure out that i didn't have the latest firmware as notifications were not working and im' still not sure how to get emails to pop up.. hmm
Anywho, my question is it possible to include all types of notifications to popup on the watch, not just SMS's/facebook/twitter/etc? I use Whatsapp very regularly and while it pops up on my iPhone 5, i do not get any notification at all on the watch. Furthermore, is it possible.

Thanks for getting back to me. It's odd. It seems that reminders set by Siri (through the watch) appear on the watch at the time I ask. But if I create it myself they don't show up. The Facebook and twitter ones haven't worked either. Iv checked all those settings and they are all ok.
Received my Passport and Victory watches today and all I can say is thank you very much Martian team. They look phenomenal and I can't seem to stop playing with them. Keep up the great work!
Hi Tom. Sorry you are having this problem. May I ask you to check the following on your phone?
In settings-bluetooth-Martian Watch: is show notifications toggled to on?
In settings-notifications: is Martian, calendar, reminders and social media listed in the "In Notifications Center"?
On the Martian app, is the calendar alert toggled to on?

Also...it only took an hour for some one to compliment the watch!
I am only receiving text messages despite having reminders, calendar alerts and social media turned on. I'm using the iPhone 5 and not sure why they arnt working
it seems to have said it's signed in but has not stopped text messages going through to the phone.
very strange but now just annoying :-(
long wait sadly short play has led to disappointment.

today after having to chase up UK parcel force I paid the Duty on my blk/blk victory and was able to collect it. Looks great and not that big either. just wish Exchange email server would work other wise i'm limited to SMS

My Martian two Martian watches arrived at my door today and to my surprise UPS was looking for a total of $161 and change for brokerage, duties and taxes. Luckily, I recently read about how to self clear your own package and after following the steps from the website above I paid $29 and change to the CBSA for duties and taxes.
My watches should be delivered Monday and I couldn't be happier to finally get my hands on these things and to save myself $130.
