Welcome to the League of Extraordinary A-holes! Welcome to the Battle Royale of Bastards! Welcome to Necropolitan!
In our 42-page debut issue, recently-killed Mark “The Kraigslist Killer” Hernandez is born into Hell! Collected by Elizabeth Bathory and Jack the Ripper and absorbed into the Roman clan, Mark has a gruesome crash-course introduction to the Punishment Dimension. And at the end of a really long, disturbing day, he has a devastating revelation (besides being in Hell, of course!) and braces for the worst.
Our 32-page second issue picks up the following day, as Mark is thrown into the deep end of the pool and quickly learns his place in the Roman clan's pecking order. Jack the Ripper and John Dillinger take the rookie out on the rounds, shaking down the Pandemonium merchants under Roman "protection." Naturally, everything goes sideways! Think Quentin Tarantino on acid!
Necropolitan #1-2 are written by Mike Phillips and Julian Darius, with art and cover by Steven Legge, and colors by Donovan Yaciuk.
A few hundred years before the start of our series, Lucifer got so bored with being in charge that He disappeared in search of something more entertaining. An unprepared Beelzebub took charge, but he isn't half the emperor Lucifer was. In the intervening centuries, many of history’s worst people were able to get a solid foothold in Hell, to form clans, and to start the inevitable turf wars. Caligula, Nero, Robespierre, Genghis Khan, Elizabeth Bathory, Jack the Ripper, Thomas Edison, Aleister Crowley, Alexander the Great, Ramesses II, Joan of Arc, Stalin, and Dillinger are all battling Beelzebub and each other for the throne of Hell.
With Necropolitan, we have long-term plans to introduce and develop all of the clans, in this final leg of their collision course in the centuries-long war to take over the Punishment Dimension.
Necropolitan is suggested for mature readers. It contains violence, sexual imagery, and mature language.
