3) After the end of the Kickstarter campaign, you will receive a survey that will ask you questions so that you can explain how you would like the add-on money assigned.
You'll be able to allocate extras and select designs for your t-shirt via surveys after the campaign closes.Last updated:
Wonderville will serve not only as a permanent home for our collection of arcade cabinets but also as a hub for the entire NYC indie game community. Our goal of $70,000 will allow us to:
-Have a dedicated home for our games and events.
-Host workshops based around game design, electronics, and fabrication.
-Host live events (DJs, bands, comedy shows, and other events are all on deck!)
-Host playtest nights and panel discussions
-Start with enough capital to run for the first 6-12 months.
-Secure and maintain the permits, licenses, inventory, and machinery to be legal with the city of NYC.
-Pay for renovations (like bathroom upgrades).
-Help us procure new games
-Pay our operating costs such as water, power, garbage disposal and repairs to arcade units.
-Hire staff and pay a fair wage.
-Purchase equipment, such as chairs, tables, projectors, ice machine, tap machine, margarita machine, Sound system, speaker, etc.
-Fees to State Liquor Authority which is one of the most expensive licenses to renew.
-Fees to Dept of Consumer Affairs - Health Department license because all bars are actually "restaurants" the same license.
-Fees to Dept of Corporations/ State: changing the Doing Business As (DBA).
-Fees to Fire Safety Guard: Inspections annually/ monthly to ensure safety.
-Fees to Workers Compensation Board.
-Fees for Disability Insurance coverage.
-Sales Tax collecting certificate of authority.

We are taking over a lease from Rachel Nelson and Erik Zajaceskowski, the owners of Secret Project Robot (with their blessing). There are eight years remaining on the lease, and with your help, we'll be able to build the infrastructure and make us sustainable for years to come.Last updated:
We have been looking for a space for the past five years, and the opportunity to have one just came up on the Bed Stuy/Bushwick border first. And everything from the physical layout to the permits (liquor license!) met our requirements for a stable location to put our roots down. It's really hard to keep a venue open in New York City. We've already been pushed out of one underground space due to rising rents (Death By Audio), and this time we want to make sure we have enough savings to get it off the ground. This location met all our criteria and we were able to create a solid business plan vetted by Stephanie’s background and informed by both Mark and Steph's years of living and working in music venues.Last updated:
Kickstarter is a natural fit for our bootstrapping generation. We've long been involved in the non-profit sector with Death By Audio Arcade and have seen first hand the difficulties other collectives and developers have faced trying to go the traditional bank route. You give up your power and at times your ethics, putting the dollar, profit and high-interest payments ahead of creating a sustainable grassroots environment which places a premium on people over profits. Kickstarter gels better with our indie outlook and business plan, which is to give us enough runway to build this machine which will feed itself for years to come.Last updated:
Games in Wonderbundle and DBAA Snackpack Vol 1 and Vol 2 will be available in PC or Mac formats. In the existing DBA Snackpack Vol 1 and 2, there is one game (Terminal Town) that is OSX only. For the Wonderbundle we will do our best to provide all games for Windows and Mac, and have asked our volunteer developers to aim for this goal, but it is ultimately up to the devs what operating systems they want to support to create the best games they can. As development is still underway on the Wonderbundle games, we will update all backers as we see final builds.Last updated:
