About this project
Meet Goodie Monster. He wants to spread good health and happiness to as many humans as he can. He especially loves kids. Our hope is to create a family of Goodie Monsters and find homes for them in children's hospitals, schools, and recreational centers. Places where we can make kids smile and fuel their fitness and creativity.

What kind of snacks does he serve?
The Goodie Monster serves good snacks. What is good? Snacks as tasty, healthy, local, organic, affordable, and lovingly-made as possible. They include KIND bars, Justin’s Nut Butters, Sahale nut mixes, Food Should Taste Good sweet potato chips, CLIF bars, LUNA bars, Popchips, Pirate’s Booty, dried fruits, and trail mix. They’re snacks that taste great, and then taste even better once you hear the story of who made them and why. To top it off, they’re all about two bucks or less.
Why is Goodie Monster on Kickstarter?
The money we raise will create four more monsters, and four more monsters will give the Goodie Monster a chance to grow. Once each family member finds a home, they will be able to serve enough snacks to make enough money to fund the creation of more monsters…more families, more friends, more people eating good snacks instead of junk.
Quality used vending machines cost $3,000-4,000 each, making them over into monsters is approximately $1,000 each, and filling them with snacks is another $400. Each makeover will require upgrading a machine to accept credit cards, custom designing a one-of-a-kind Goodie Monster character, sourcing materials, and then putting all of the pieces together.

How will Goodie Monsters be made?
We're excited to be partnering with the Portland Garment Factory, an independent, creative, super collaborative manufacturing house. With their help, we’ll find the perfect fake furs and proudly say that every monster is handmade in Portland.
Much thanks to K. Mueller (video editor), EARScanSEE (music maker), and Digital One (film perfecter). You guys are awesome.
