Final Stretch Goal Campaign Thing!
Final Stretch Goal: $60K. If we reach $60K I'll include the three-scenario linked Kickstarter exclusive campaign regardless of what happens on Facebook. To be clear. You will start with a core command, and advance with them through three linked scenarios, replacing casualties, and adding units depending on your success. If any of you have played the campaign in my Stalingrad PC game that I designed for Matrix, it'll be kind of like that. If we hit 750 likes AND get to $60K, I'll still only do one linked campaign. It's not lack of gratitude, just lack of time.
Yet Another Stretch Goal!
Thank you all so much. We are humbled by the support and the messages. Shayne and I will do our best to make a great game for youse guys. We have ANOTHER stretch goal. Excessive caps aside, we are offering a fourth counter sheet if we breach $55K ($55,000). To be clear, this is a fourth counter sheet added to the BASE game, in addition to the extra counter sheet with the Stalingrad expansion and the extra counters included as part of the Heavy Metal stretch goal.
4th Counter Sheet Added to Game at $55K
Free Stretch Goals!? Are we Crazy?!
Overuse of punctuation aside, you read that header correctly. We are offering two FREE stretch goals in our final week. Doesn't cost our supporters or anyone else.
Free Stretch Goal ONE: Go to our Facebook page and like it. If we reach 750 likes before the campaign closes, Mark will design a three-scenario, linked mini-campaign for inclusion, above and beyond any other stretch goals reached. Nice.
Free Stretch Goal TWO: There's an OST post pinned to the top of our Facebook page. If this post gets 125 shares we will throw in two solitaire-friendly scenarios into everyone’s game of Old School Tactical. No Fuss, no muss. Solitaire friendly? Yeah, Mark will design a pair of scenarios that have scripting and rules that do everything but wipe the enemy’s nose. You’ll be able to concentrate on playing your side, and make minimal decisions for the enemy.
Here's our Facebook page. Let's make it happen.
In November of 2014 I founded Flying Pig Games, a game company dedicated to fun. A game company about the games that I like to play, and hope you do too. Tactical war games are one of my passions. So, when Shayne Logan contacted me about Old School Tactical (OST), I was pretty, dang jazzed. Here was a tactical game that had the beautiful art needed to immerse you in the battle, the simple, yet unique, rules to make it accessible, and the scale that I loved. I couldn't sign him up quickly enough. So here we are, three months later with the Kickstarter for Old School Tactical.
Is Old School Tactical just another squad-level game? I don't think so, the huge, beautifully-detailed maps (30" x 41"), the impulse system, which makes gamers decide which units to activate because he (or she) can rarely activate them all, and the simple--attack factor minus defense factor equals firepower-- combat, give OST a unique flavor. Read on. Ask us questions. Learn about the game, I hope it is something you choose to back.
Old School Tactical (OST) -Fighting on the Eastern Front 1941/42
OST is the first in a dynamic series of fresh, tactical wargames. OST simulates, through an easily-learned game system, small unit engagements on the Eastern Front during 1941-42.
Two players contest each scenario using counters representing the soldiers, guns, and vehicles that fought these desperate battles. On each turn play goes back and forth between the sides as Impulse Points are spent to enable a player's forces to act. When the battle is over, casualty and victory points are tallied and a victor is declared.

Risks and challenges
The staff at Flying Pig Games has been involved in the board and video game publishing industry since 1997. Mark Walker published over 60 products in his tenure at Lock 'n Load Publishing. In short we know how to get a game out the door. We also know that it is never easy. All the Old School Tactical scenarios are complete, the art is complete, the rules written, and the player aid cards laid out. We are currently testing the scenarios and tweaking the rules. We will send Old School Tactical to the printers with our other Kickstarter project, Night of Man, no later than April.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
