About this project
We are in the process of recording our next album, entitled "Violet Eyed Sunrise". This is Nick and I's first full-length album since 2009's "Marble Garden". Recording an album can be expensive, but these funds will be used for pressing the album as CDs and vinyl records. CDs are still the main physical format for music releases, but we fully believe vinyl records will deliver the most true-to-life sound from the master tapes.
- Studio time (est. $4000)
- CD replication (est. $900)
- All-analog vinyl mastering (est. $600)
- Vinyl pressing & artwork (est. $1500)
- Travel expenses (est. $500)
- Other studio expenses (est. $500)
As you can see, $3500 will only barely cover the cost of CD & Vinyl pressing, but without that $3500, we would just have a bunch of great tracks sitting in tape boxes and hard drives. Plus, Kickstarter & Amazon have to take a percentage off from the amount raised so if the goal reaches $3500, we will really have just over $3100 when that's all done.
If you enjoy the music Nick and I create with Marble Garden or Michael Allman and you would like to hear more of this rock and blues music- then please pledge today. As kids we adopted a Wayne Shorter quote to describe our music: "totally new, completely familiar". If you pre-order our album, or pledge to our cause, it will be another step towards creating new, real music that is so sorely lacking in much of today's scene.
And remember- the campaign will only be successful if at least $3500 is pledged, and the pledges will only be charged at the end of the campaign, if we successfully meet our goal.
Thank you all for your support!
