I'm glad to hear that the packages are reaching you folks in good shape! I shipped out nearly all of the rest today, and readied the final set of rewards. (The last round of shipments was just waiting on the completion of the CD-ROM, and those are now ready to send as well.)
I received mine today (in Canada). They are as excellent as I expected, and the dice were great too! Bring on the next kickstarter project (hopefully a fantasy map ;-) ).
I got my package in the mail yesterday, the security guard in my building received it for me and handed it to me this morning as I was heading out the door for work. Believe it or not I have not opened it yet (yes its one on THOSE days) but I will rip into it once this madness of work and training is done. I live in Puerto Rico just so you know... Looking forward to using these maps in my games.
Got my map, card set and dice. They look great! Going to have the map laminated at the local office max. Thanks again and looking forward to your next Kickstarter.
They wouldn't ship me more than 15 flat rate padded envelopes at a time. (The envelopes themselves are provided for free.) So I had to place repeated orders to get enough. It was tedious and annoying, but I suspect the policy is meant is to prevent people from ordering tons of free bubble mailers to use as packing material in other mailings.
I must have misunderstood then. Something you had said earlier was making me think that they wouldnt accept any more than X packages a day from you for whatever reason, lol.
Seth, I'm pretty sure yours is in the big batch of maps going out tomorrow morning. As for the USPS: They've never given me a hard time about shipping out lots of packages at once; this multi-stage shipment of rewards happened because of A) limited availability of the shipping materials (that actually was partly the postal system's fault) and B) a shortage of time and other resources on my end.
I won't rule out the possibility of other shipping options in the future, but the local post office employees have been very accommodating.
Still anxiously awaiting mine to arrive. Just as a note for the future, I would be willing to pay a little extra to have stuff shipped by UPS/FedEx who are thankful for your massive amount of business in one day, opposed to the 'We refuse to take this much as once' union working so who cares Post Office.
A whole lot of rewards got shipped out Saturday morning. Not all of them, but a good-sized chunk. If anyone discovers any problems with their reward package when it arrives, please let me know!
Not yet, Aric! I've been working all week to get the packages ready to go out, but they're not quite there yet.
This kickstarter has proven more complicated to get ready than my previous ones, mainly because I have four different products (with dice) to ship out in unison instead of one or two.
Chris, just downloaded all my files and once again COMPLETE AWESOMENESS is all I can say!!! I can't wait to get my goodies in the mail. There is nothing like the smell of new maps in the morining!!!!
I think it's better to have the roofs on the opposite side of the cars so you can switch from one to the other, for action inside or on top of the train.
Paul: Train roofs are on the reverse of the train cars. It didn't occur to me until just now, though, that if I had done that differently, you could have a train that's twice as long. Doh!
Excellent news Chris ! Quick question though regarding the RO...ahem RTS set :P ! Are the train roof tiles on the reverse of the internal train plans, or are they on the reverse of the detention facility ? Cheers, Paul
I've gotten some quotes from my printer, and have decided to go ahead with a limited print run of the Railway Station Tiles. (I'm changing the title from "Outpost" so the abbreviation isn't ROT...) ;-)
So, when your survey links arrive in your email, you'll be able to choose from four new products instead of just three! Thanks for making this possible!
I totally agree that the fun updates, goals and mystery prizes made this tons of fun to follow and kept me clicking the updates (just like on the OotS ones). Congratulations Mr. West and keep up the fantastic work!
Yes, regarding us Europeans, it all the new developments happened whilst we were sleeping :D I wonder if the Railway Tiles will be printed and offered for purchase now ? I would certainly buy a couple of sets. Also on the subject of pledges, once I got to $100 there didn't really seem to be anywhere else to go albeit down a customisation route. Maybe a 7,8,9,10 tile set purchase option could have been added ? Anyway, great stuff Chris and everyone else ! Looking forward to some more maps , cheers, Paul
The sun is just rising for us Europeans and the Railway Outpost Tiles deal was posted too late for us to reconsider our pledges. But… This leaves us with a very nice card set to accompany your next Kickstarter drive! ;-)
And, the final total: $11,199! Wow. You folks unlocked every single bonus reward I could think of (I don't think the 11th hour deal counts against your record in the slightest, as I didn't think of it with time enough to let everyone hear about it). I'll get the mystery map sorted out and post an update shortly.
I sure would have loved to afford the top level and had a custom map made to push us over the $12k level... sadly, I don't have that sort of disposable income. :( Oh well.
Thanks, freeclint, and everyone who boosted their pledges to push this thing ever-higher! You folks are simply amazing, and I can't wait to get your rewards sent to you as soon as the printed posters and cards are ready.
Use this space to cheer the creator along, and talk to your fellow backers.
Have a question?

I'm hoping to send out the rest of the map rewards this week, so if you live in the US, I think there's a good chance you'll have them by the 8th.
James Hopper on May 29, 2012
Any word when the remainder are going out? I am running a Traveller session on the 8th and would really like to use the map!
